On Caden’s tenth or hundredth day of absence from work, when the office had started closing early, Trevor stopped by.
“Hey, are you free today? There's a movie premiere happening downtown I thought you'd want to see” he grinned widely at me.
“Um… No, thanks” I shook my head, trying to act indifferent.
“What, do you have plans with someone?” He raised a brow in suspicion, clearly taking the opportunity to annoy me as much as possible.
“No, I don't have plans, sorry”
Trevor huffed angrily, crossed his arms across his chest, and stalked away, muttering incoherently to himself and slamming the door shut behind him.
