While she was looking for answers to her questions, something caught her eye. "A black cape? Long-sleeved white shirt? And a red bow?” Cyrille's eyes begin to widen. "This is how a vampire dresses in classic Dracula films!" she exclaimed. “Oh my—” She couldn't finish her words and immediately covered her mouth to keep from shouting. She was overjoyed with the mixed emotions she was experiencing at the time, and she couldn't believe that after days of fruitless hunting, she'd have the good fortune to meet a vampire.

“Why would you think I would hurt your sister?” From the corner of my eye, I see Maeve shake her head. She doesn’t want them to tell me. I growl softly, getting their attention back. “Why?” “A werewolf killed our parents.” Tate spits out. “Because they wouldn’t do magic for him.” Meadow adds. I turn to look at Maeve. “Who?” She must know who killed her parents. “Beta Trevor.” “When?” I ask her, standing. “Three years ago.” I can see Xander’s tension, feel it through our family bond.
