~ a few weeks before X-mas~ Billie's POV: I can't believe that in a few short weeks it will be Christmas. The holidays have me thinking about all of the orphaned pups that have joined the packs. None of them have any family left to care for them or see them on the holidays. So with that in mind I emailed the other two packs to bring all of their orphaned pups and childless couples with them today. All of the Alpha's agreed to it very quickly deciding this would be the best Christmas gift to all.

The troll’s molten eyes flickers, and the faintest hint of a smile creases its stony face. What are they always finding funny? “The whispering kind. Hidden wings. Mischief wrapped in moonlight.” What? Pip groans under her breath. “Oh, stars. They do mean me.” Her?! I glance down at my scarf, alarmed. “They know you?” “I might’ve, um… annoyed their kind once or twice,” Pip whispers. “Long story. Not my fault.” The bigger troll raises its head. “Keep your companion close, child of Elowen. The road ahead watches. It remembers old blood.”

In the end, I couldn't bear to let Noelle spend the last Christmas Eve of her life filled with regret. I searched through every office on the entire floor and finally found a female doctor about the same height as Ivana. I begged her to pretend to be Ivana. An hour later, the doctor appeared beside Noelle's bed, wearing a Santarina costume borrowed from somewhere on the street. She was holding Noelle's favorite doll. Noelle cried tears of happiness. "I knew Mommy wouldn't abandon me." I covered my mouth and pulled Noelle tightly into my arms. A nurse took a picture of our final moment together. In the end, Noelle died on that snowy Christmas Eve.

CHAPTER89:YOU SCARED ME "Stop crying little one." The light instantly turned on and when Janet saw the huge troll, she hurriedly escaped his not so strong grip. "What's going on here, there's so much noise." Xena walked out of her room, itching her head and whincing in pain. "Xena save me!" Janet cried out, clinging unto Xena like she wanted to become one with her. "From what exactly and whose this?" Xena's eyes were still closed.

“Piper, I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life making it up to you. Will you marry me?” I stare at him, stunned, before a bitter laugh escapes my lips. “You really think a ring fixes everything?” “Say yes, Piper,” he pleads desperately. “Let’s have the Christmas wedding you always dreamed of.” His audacity is something that should be studied, and all I can think about is how he truly puts the "EX" in Xmas.

I'm kind of exaggerated but who cares! Alex looked at me like I was a criminal; like it was a crime to hate marshmallows. “How… how… oh my God. How can you say marshmallows are disgusting? They’re divine…” Okay, this guy was just being dramatic. Did marshmallows save his life or something? I chuckled, amused that it was bothering him this much. "Okay, okay. I’ve heard you. Can we drop this and focus on what we’re here to do?" Alex furrowed his eyebrows and pouted like a kid who just got scolded by his mum. "I guess we can."

I take the rollers out of my hair, pinning up the sides with bright green combs. Then I juggle three boxes and leave my room, heading down to the common room where the Christmas party waits. Much to my surprise, the magic I worked the night we brought Jacques back, didn't just affect those with me, but everyone and now they could all see and hear my three ghosts.

Before I could figure out what was going on, a tall and slender woman approached Dylan and me. She locked arms with Dylan and shot me an irritated look, asking, "Who's this?" Dylan answered before I could even say a word, speaking in a tone that made it seem like we had coincidentally run into each other. "She's Blake's girlfriend. She came to look for him." The woman immediately dropped her guard and curiously gave me a once-over. She smiled sweetly and introduced herself as Trixie Ashford. She was Dylan's girlfriend, and she had returned to the country specifically to celebrate Christmas with him.
