Unforeseen Engagement Novels & Stories

If ever he knew something or remember, hew would doubt. “ If she’s really is my best friend, then why isn’t she here?” he curiously asked. “ I don’t know either. She left with no reason given.” “ Then maybe it’s confidential?” “ Yeah.” “ By the way,” he opened up again. “ Are we really engaged?” “ Yup, for almost nine months now.” “ Oh really?” he said though I can clearly see his smirk upon saying that. “ I didn’t expect that though.” “ Me neither, but thanks to you, it was already cancelled.”

I asked Sadia to meet me in the woods near the pack house. We walked to a field. “Being engaged to someone you didn’t date has been kind of weird right?” I started. Sadia chuckled. “We were best friends before, and I told you I always liked you. It’s not so weird.” I sighed. ”It’s been weird for me Sadia, it’s been confusing.” Sadia walked around a tree while staring at me. “Well, you like me now don’t you? We’ve been going on dates and having sex. We didn’t do those things before we were engaged.”

It was just too good to be true for me. And what was that that Miss Aurora had warned me off about the man? That was the fact that he was highly unpredictable. The way he was being nice today, he might not be that way tomorrow. He might wake up and decide that the guards should throw me into a burning fire and when half of my skin was gone, he would ask them to bring me out. Worse, he might order them to pour some salt on the wound. No, it was just too risky for me to try and believe him. I still like my head attached to my neck very much, thank you.

he apologised. "You are her best friend, and she is Luna, of course, she would take it badly. The fence was not supposed to have a gate, now we have to create a whole socialising centre just because you sank your teeth into the wrong flesh. You do not know what those humans are planning for us. If you did, you wouldn't be so eager to be with your bitch!" I shouted at him. I was losing my shit, and I knew it. Marcus walked up to me and hugged me. He understood. I was shaking like a leaf. I was scared.

“I am sorry that Mother doesn’t approve of this union, but I can’t help it.” Trald shook his head. “It hasn’t got anything to do with your mother,” he said, as he placed a napkin on his lap. “My General informed me that Borgan is about to attack! So I have to be there when it happens. I have come to talk to you about it, but since it is your big day tomorrow, I will handle it myself.” Saying that he dug his fork into chocolate pastry. “What the hell?” Tova was stunned at the way his father was playing so cool. How did Borgan choose such a vulnerable time to attack? “Why has Melanie gone back so suddenly?” he asked.

she exclaimed, disappointment etched on her face. Marianne's mind had been preoccupied with the day's news - an unplanned pregnancy, unwanted by her boyfriend, Greg. For ten years, six months, and twelve days, Greg had emphasized the struggles of raising their daughter, Rose. He never seemed ready for the responsibility, making Marianne feel like she had forced him into parenthood. Despite her stability and readiness for another child, Greg's reluctance loomed large.

I thought angrily. “Come join us.” Fran said. I smiled slightly thinking how much a member of the family she was. She would make a much better stepmom than that cheating bitch. I wondered why she and dad had never thought of dating. Looking at dad I was happy I had listened to Kevin. Telling him then about Lois would have been a bad idea. “I saw you talking with the mayor, dad.” I said joining them and pouring myself a drink. “ It looked pretty intense.” “Yeah it’s about business. I will tell you all about it tomorrow at the office. But now we need to talk about your sudden engagement to Watson. Where and when did you guys meet? How well do you know him?”

And she knew the dangers of what might be blooming between them. If Anna was what Vivienne feared she was—and if fate had somehow brought her and Michael together—then everything Vivienne did twenty-eight years ago would unravel in an instant. The cloak. The spell. The secret. All of it would collapse. She didn’t know whether Michael loved the girl, but if the bond formed—if she turned out to be his fated mate and that mark was ever made—there would be no turning back. Not for him. Not for Anna. And not for the world that lay hidden behind the veil of humans and politics.

** The Unspoken Bond** The tension between Sophia and Ethan was palpable as they sat across from each other in the dimly lit room. The warmth they had shared just days ago felt like a distant memory, replaced by an uneasy silence that neither dared to break. Sophia’s gaze lingered on the golden light emanating faintly from the upper floor, a reminder of the path they had yet to traverse. The memory of the mysterious man’s words echoed in her mind: “Trust is the cornerstone of your bond. Without it, you will crumble.”

This confrontation, raw and brutal as it was, merely accelerated the inevitable. “We will announce our engagement,” I continued, planning aloud, the vision unfolding in my mind. “Publicly. Deliberately. It will cause a scandal, of course. The old guard will clutch their pearls, the tabloids will feast. Let them. Every whisper, every raised eyebrow, every denouncement will only serve to cement my position, and yours, as unshakeable. It will be a clear message: I am not bound by tradition. I am not bound by their expectations. I am bound only to you.” His expression was a mix of apprehension and dawning wonder. “An engagement? So soon?”
