The truck comes to a quiet stop at the front of the pack’s elementary school. Kieran kills the engine and steps out, slamming the door shut and stretching his shoulders after the drive. He looks up at the glaring sun in the sky and tsks at the scorching heat. He goes to the back of the truck, where there are boxes of school supplies—everything the pups need for their daily activities. If it weren’t so boring, Kieran would have missed his school days. He reaches out to grab a box when his eyes catch something in the open yard.

Alec whispered. He hustled them forward. The truck turned left and eased to a stop between the gates. A team of two men did a walk around the vehicle while a third approached the cab and spoke with the driver. Painted on the door was the spiky shell symbol. Vara's logo. This was one of her trucks. Was it a sign? Alec's gut said it was. "Get in." He rushed Jules forward.

The sound pierced my eardrums in the confined space of the truck. Scarlet whipped her head around, her eyes wide once more. Her lips parted the smallest degree as she inhaled. Finally, a smile teased her lips. Soon, she was laughing with me. Taryk growled, the sound the low grumbling purr of his panther, Smoke. "The fuck, man?" He rubbed a hand over the back of his neck.

Before uncle Corbin can even protest, I push him over. “My Mate, so it’s my truck,” I smirk at Uncle Corbin, who is trying not to laugh. Jacob, Simon, and a handful of other warriors crawl into the truck bed and I slide it into drive. The engine surges to life as I whip down the drive with a grin so big my cheeks might break. “Calm down Mad Max! Save some of the crazy for the fight,” Jacob laughs as he bends down, looking in through the open back window.

"It's preferable to go home." Afterwards, we put our shoes and immediately head to his bike. We came to the beach on his big sleek motorcycle. It's an amazing black Kawasaki Ninja with some prominent white outlines. I was afraid to have a ride on this beast at first, but I trusted Eren though he tried to scare the hell out of me by burning up the road like grease lightning.

The small creature shooed Jinx off to the left. Jinx watched as the no-fur spoke to the entranced tom in a foreign tongue and led him out of the truck. He began kissing the tom's neck and raising his arms. His eyes flashed and he bit down hard on the Tawny's shoulder. The Tawny's eyes opened and he sank to his knees. The no-fur kept petting him and the Tawny kept his paws turned upward as if he were trying to catch invisible rain. Suddenly the most intricately painted caravan of trucks and wagons appeared floating in the sky. The no-fur turned to Jinx with an oddly friendly fanged smile. "Look there, all of that is his work. It is quite beautiful."

Not bragging but just like it was a fact. “Why don’t you transform and I hop on your back? I can hold on pretty tight.” I suggested. Kent turned to me slowly. He looked beyond angry. “How dare you!” “What?” I asked, confused. “How dare you ask an Alpha to be your mule? I have never, will never, let anyone ride my back.” He explained further.
