The Surrogate’s Blade

The Surrogate’s Blade

TRUST IS THE NERVOUS SYSTEM THAT TELLS THE CITY ITS HANDS ARE CLEAN. Julian whispers, “That’s cheerful.” Sarah flicks him one hard look and he shuts up. Leo continues. TRUST DOESN'T JUST OPEN DOORS. IT RECORDS CONSENT. PREDICTS COMPLIANCE. FEEDS RESIDENTIAL ROUTINES. IT IS WHY PEOPLE THINK THEY CHOSE THE ROOM THEY WERE ASSIGNED. The screen stutters. For half a second the text becomes machine garbage, columns of symbols too fast for my eyes, then clears.

THE TRIBID HOCKEY GOD & HIS OBSESSION

THE TRIBID HOCKEY GOD & HIS OBSESSION

Focused. Divide them. Make them doubt. Make them question everything they think they know about each other. It’s not about strength. Not about power. It’s about trust. And trust? Is fragile. Even when people think it isn’t. Especially then. I turn. Walk toward the exit. Already planning. Already building the pieces. Because this? This is a different kind of war. One they won’t see coming. Not at first. Not until it’s too late. Evelessa trusts Cassain.

I Accidentally Married a Mafia Boss

Tell me, Izora, how you find life here. She stopped and picked her words deliberately. "It's... unique." ordered." She nodded. "Structure fosters discipline. And discipline guarantees life's survival. She stared at him. "That is what this is about? Surviving?" He slanted forward slightly. "Trust is money in our world. One that one earns rather than presents. She placed down her fork. "And you lack trust in me?" He sneered. "Trust develops over time. Think of this supper as a movement in that direction.

A Surprise for the Unfaithful

A Surprise for the Unfaithful

"I still remember how carefully you held that little fox in your hands. Your eyes were sparkling. You were so beautiful. You didn't realize I liked you back then. You didn't pick up on any of my hints." "I was going crazy, but I didn't dare tell you directly. I just comforted myself, thinking it would work out in time." As he spoke, a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. I studied him carefully. When he spoke, his eyes sparkled with affection, almost overflowing with love. But why was this happening? I didn't understand. How could he love me and still betray me? Just then, a strange scent wafted toward me—women's perfume with a hint of rosemary. It was the same scent I'd smelled on Nora b

Marrying Her Off

Marrying Her Off

Shaking her head, I pointed slowly, at the door, trying to tell them I wanted to leave, but they all nodded and pointed hands at the bed, I had gotten up from. "No, I wasn’t going back to that bed, the bed where I barely woke up from. What if I sit on it, and it returns me to my coma. I don’t even know where I am or who these people are, but the last thing I would do is trust them. Trust is bad, trust is pain… trust… trust killed my…" I paused as I allowed the dark feeling to pass me through. What did trust kill? That was one of the numerous things I wished I knew.

The Prison

The Prison

It would always depend on chance and pure luck. As time passed in the tiny cell, it was also getting harder not succumbing to sleep. After weeks of not getting enough added to my condition, it was finally asking for detrimental. My lids became two heavy blocks of cement that I couldn't help but dropped down the rabbit hole. I looked my left and right, from the people passing by the street to the one's inside the coffee shop, then to the yellow cloud-like stain at the back of the waitress' uniform who brought our orders. Trust was a great issue to me, everyone has a motive, no one is ever innocent in the world. I blinked twice maybe even more as I tried to tune down the voice of the guy in fr

He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

I stood at the edge of the crib and looked at him for a moment. The company The plan.... Zara Collins and Patterson and the pieces moving through the city toward the outcomes I had designed. Maya Hargrove and her eighty percent and her fiancé and the pregnancy she had denied. All of it existed.... All of it was in motion. And here, in a dim room at midnight, was this.... a small person sleeping with the absolute, uncalculated trust of someone who had decided the world was safe because the person holding them had said so. I was not accustomed to being trusted unconditionally.

While I like it so far, it's difficult not to notice that AI is being used for a great deal of the story. It's painfully obvious because "person does thing with the quality of a blah blah blah that's decided something and rearranged themselves around it" That sentence structure is used ad nauseum

This is how you tell a story! I do pray it stays this way as I failed to look and see it was ongoing as I usually don’t read ongoing books because updates are not substantial but baby…!!!! This book thus far is a great read and can’t wait until it’s completed.

Unspoken Truth

Unspoken Truth

Hey readers bare with me this book is getting a much needed overhaul! Major Trigger warning, this book contains graphic descriptions. The main character was raped and harmed by someone of authority. At the beginning of the book she is kidnapped by the same individual. I just want everyone to be aware before digging into this book that it is very intense. Also I want to let you know this book can be read as a stand alone book where you can read Maui Boys then this one they are linked in some ways. Much Love guys! 🤘

Loving Him For 30 Days

Loving Him For 30 Days

Seraphine said nothing, she just waited. “The trust was funded by a single initial deposit from a Vale family subsidiary account,” Vivienne said. The coffee shop was quiet around them, someone at the counter ordering something, the low sound of the machine running, completely indifferent. “His name is Daniel,” Vivienne said. “He lives in New Jersey with his mother, goes to a state school, has a normal life with no idea the trust exists. Cara tells him it’s an inheritance from her grandmother.” “You found them?” Seraphine said.

The Price Of Trust

The Price Of Trust

Her voice was shaking now, but not from fear, from anger. I rolled my eyes, my lips curling into a smirk. “Relax, okay? She won’t find you. And I’ll get you the bullets soon, I just need a little time, and you have to trust me.” “Trust?” she scoffed. “I don’t have time for trust. I need that bullet now!” “And I need time! We don’t always get what we want, do we?” Before she could spit out another demand, I ended the call.
