Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

“We have to focus. Ash needs us.” Just then, the air crackled. Shadows moved above them, and a branch snapped. Wolves were back, but they weren’t attacking. They were just watching, waiting. Suddenly, the journal flashed with light. A word appeared on its open page: TRUST. A shiver went through her. She knew it was a message, maybe even from Ash through magic. Her voice shook as she read it aloud: “Trust isn't weakness. It's the knife that cuts through chains." Kael nodded, swallowing. “Let’s keep moving.”

Shattered Trust

Shattered Trust

It wasn't just about the betrayal; it was everything that came along with it-the family, her trust, and belief in the people that she loved… all went to pieces. The thought caught at Stephanie's heart and she could almost see it in her mind's eye: Rachel, so devastated and vulnerable, her whole world crumbling around her. And that's when I stepped in," Noah said. "I was there for her when no one else was. I helped her pick up the pieces, made her believe she could trust again. We got close-closer than I ever thought I'd get to someone like her. For a while, it was…good. We were good."

SILVER IN THE SHADOWS

SILVER IN THE SHADOWS

Of rhythm. At the base of a ridge slope, they paused near a shared cache: root cellar dug between trees, lined with snow-laced bark and ash-salt to keep provisions fresh. Kael knelt first, withdrew a strip of dried meat, turned it once in her palm. “Nothing stolen. Nothing spoiled.” Trisha nodded. “Trust begins with bread and blade.” Kael rose, eyes narrowing slightly. “It ends in battle, not diplomacy. You believe that?” “I believe it ends where someone stops watching.”

I have really enjoyed this book as a whole… so far. I’m about 70% of the way into the story and find myself mostly happy with the book. I’m just wondering, why does the Prince have such a hang up about weight? It just seams a bit passive aggressive on the negative comments, and name calling.

The Price of Blind Trust

The Price of Blind Trust

"Sign the papers and confess you hacked the system and caused this mess, and the Grays will deal with the fallout. For compensation, Mr. Gray will unfreeze the trust fund your parents left for you, and you’ll get the money tomorrow." That was the same move they used in my previous life. They dangled their favor and my parents’ inheritance to force me into giving Chris my spot in Harland and made me slave for him. "That trust fund was mine to begin with, Gray!" I laughed loud enough for the whole lobby to hear. "You’re trying to silence me with my own money? Fuck you! That’s 30 million we’re talking about!" Dead silence grasped the crowd. Joshua was shocked before he roared in disbelief, "Wha

Tragic Novel? I'll Turn It Into a Power Trip

Tragic Novel? I'll Turn It Into a Power Trip

When I opened my eyes, I found myself holding an exquisitely wrapped sandwich. Whispers immediately drifted into my ears. "Look, Jacob Blake's here again delivering breakfast to Carol." "He seriously has no shame. She already said she doesn't like him, but he still won't give up." "Exactly! Carol and Matt are obviously the perfect couple!" I froze for two seconds before a flood of memories suddenly crashed into my mind. I, the invincible hero of a power-fantasy novel, had actually transmigrated into the role of a pathetic simp side character in a trashy romance novel.

The Woman He Shouldn’t Have Lost

The Woman He Shouldn’t Have Lost

Victoria said, with the specific dryness she reserved for moments when someone told her something she had already accounted for. “I know,” I said. “I’m saying it anyway.” “I know you are,” she said. She hung up. I sat at my desk in the December light and thought about forty-seven million dollars in the Channel Islands and Lila Monroe Blackwood sitting across from Victoria Hale with original documents and the specific courage of a woman who had finally looked at the structure she was inside and decided, at cost to herself, to stop being part of it. I thought about trust and its limits. I thought about useful and its difference from trustworthy.

Not Your Typical Live-In Son-In-Law

Not Your Typical Live-In Son-In-Law

--- Charlotte stood near the doorway again. Riven beside her. --- “Will it hold?” Riven asked. --- Charlotte watched the room. The uneven conversations. The laughter breaking through tension. The friction. --- “It will fail sometimes,” she said. --- Riven nodded. “That’s honest.” --- Charlotte looked at them. “And it will hold enough.” --- Because that was the truth Malcolm could not eliminate. Not perfect trust. Not total certainty. --- Just enough. --- Far away, Malcolm closed the Trust Collapse file. Not because it had failed.

Bought by the Devil CEO

“Do you trust me?” He didn’t answer with words. He took my hand steady, deliberate. “Yes,” he said. “And I trust you,” I replied. “Not because this is safe. Because it’s honest.” The decision settled not loudly. Permanently. Outside, the city kept its rhythm unaware, indifferent. Inside, something irreversible locked into place. The test hadn’t been about strategy. It had been about whether trust could survive without protection, without leverage, without retreat. And it had.

A Traitor's Debt

A Traitor's Debt

And we sure as hell don't forgive. We get even. And we make traitors pay a price they can't afford. At dawn, I walked into the study and opened the safe only I knew the code to. Inside were all the confidential files on Vincent's business dealings—as his wife, I had access to everything. I took a photo of every single document. Game on.
