Age Bound Ecstasy

Age Bound Ecstasy

Then she read it slowly. "The tide comes in. Goes out. Comes in again. Always. We stand on the shore. We watch. We wait. We walk into the water when we must. We return when we can. The sea remembers every name. Every touch. Every promise kept and every promise broken. It carries them all. And still it returns. Every morning. Every evening. Without apology. Without explanation. Simply present. Simply endless. I close this book not because the story ends. But because I have told the part that is mine to tell. The rest belongs to the tide. And to you. Whoever you are. Wherever you stand. Whatever shore you face.

Only His On Paper

Only His On Paper

I looked away. “And if I give him this?” she asked, raising the half-burned note. “If I tell him what coast you’re on, that you’re not really gone?” I thought of Lily. Of bookstores and sea air. Of freedom without fear. “Give him just enough,” I said. “Let him choose this time.” — A few weeks later… The sea always arrived before the morning. It crawled up the shore like it had something to prove. And I stood behind the bookstore’s counter, watching the tide move the world without ever raising its voice.

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

The "Tide" was not made of salt and foam. It was a slurry of liquid shadows and melted glaciers, a black deluge that roared with the voices of everything it had consumed on its way from the Frozen Wastes. It didn't just flood the land; it erased it, leaving behind nothing but a smooth, dark glass. Standing on the ramparts of the Silver Citadel, Audrey watched the horizon vanish. The emerald forests she had worked so hard to grow were being swallowed by a wall of water five hundred feet high.

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

I crash through the water and take off moving a safe distance from the cliffs, hoping I’m not too far from Lemuel. I see and feel the pull of the currents from under the surface as the tsunami makes its way towards the kingdom. I feel my eyes burn as I pull on the energy inside me and throw my hands out halting the tsunami in its tracks, or at least I thought I had. I can feel the force of the giant wave pushing against me, forcing me to readjust and throw more power into my actions, but still, I feel the fucking thing resisting me.

Brooke Pilawa
Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

Another excellent book! I couldn't put it down that I finished reading it in a day. anxiously waiting for book 6 to finish--not a fan of cliffhangers:) Or I may go back and re-read the series while I wait.

Time overlapped. The little girl with braids became a grown woman, throwing herself into the same warm embrace. "Okay."

HIS REJECTED GODDESS

HIS REJECTED GODDESS

BOOK FOUR: THE ABYSSAL TIDE (Jace’s Perspective) You cannot negotiate with the ocean. The ocean does not have a heartbeat; it has a tide. And for the first time in a century, the tide was listening to the earth. I stood at the very edge of the massive, stone-paved docks of the Aethelgard harbor. The air was thick with the smell of salt brine, raw kelp, and the sharp, metallic tang of hot slag.

No Tide for Yesterday

No Tide for Yesterday

Chapter 7 The Confrontation Thunderous applause finally erupted. This time, it wasn’t the polite, scattered clapping from earlier— it was real, overwhelming, roaring like a rising tide. Three thousand people clapped at once, the sound crashing toward the stage like waves. Elena Shore stood under the spotlight, looking at the faces below—some excited, some moved—and felt her throat tighten. She lowered her head, took a slow breath, and forced back the sudden urge to cry.

Turning the Tables

Turning the Tables

“Oh, Maisie, you’re challenging Taylor at dice? You’ve already lost. Taylor’s the queen of dice. Even the pros can’t beat her.” My aunt and uncle stared greedily at my property deed, grins stretching so wide that their faces almost folded. Taylor rolled the dice cup in her hand, brimming with confidence. “Maisie, this is your last chance to back out. It’s not too late.” I shook my head. “No. I’m staying. I want to win.” As I said this, my gaze drifted to Josh. Taylor noticed and immediately frowned. “This round we’re only betting money, not people.”

Turning the Tables

Turning the Tables

Just as things were going smoothly for me at work, Lucille gave birth prematurely. Had it not been for me tampering behind the scenes, she would have been a really lucky woman. She gave birth to a son, giving the Walkers the heir they wanted so badly. I made no move after her delivery and often went to visit her and showed great affection for her baby. I made her believe that it was truly the baby that I was after. When the baby was one month old, I sat Lucille down for a talk after settling her back in the house. I tossed her a bank card and said, "Here's 500 grand. I get the baby, and you can leave with this."
