My Shadow Mate
I chuckle, and the others agree with laughter and jokes.
He is in a fitted black turtleneck sweater, slim-fit burgundy trousers, which coordinate with the tailored blazer. I admire how it’s burgundy, but black on the forearms; it contrasts so well. He adds white sneakers, which, thank God, make his outfit more semi-formal than formal. Then he tops it off with a wristwatch and his broody look. Even though he seems a tad bit relaxed, especially after my compliment.
“You polish up nicely, too, Kid.” He says simply, even though a little awkwardly, as though he’s not sure if that’s the right thing to say. I give him a bright smile.
