Twilight stopped giving out orders to the clones. The clones went into a frenzy and could not tell between friend and foe; they began to attack Twilight. One of them bit Twilight's hand while another bit her neck. Within seconds, she collapsed on the ground. The rest of the clones pounced on her. It was a brutal scene to watch. Everything happened too fast. Before anyone could react, Twilight was lying motionlessly in a puddle of blood. Larissa covered Vincent's eyes and turned her gaze away. The crazed clones continued to attack even after murdering Twilight.

She gestures towards a dimly lit corner of the shop, where the scent of aged parchment fills the air. “Thank's,” I murmur, making my way over to the ancient volumes. As I reach out to touch the leather cover of the mysterious book, a shiver runs down my spine. Within its pages lies a prophecy, an ominous verse that speaks of a time when darkness will consume the world, and chaos will reign. “An age of eternal twilight,” I read aloud, my voice barely a whisper. “When the winds howl with fury, and the shadows claim their prey...” My heart races as the words sink in, the realisation hitting me like a bolt of lightning. “You are the one who took a young girl hostage and plan to use her blood for what exactly?” “It’s you,” the witch said and Caitlin raised a brow. “Do you know who I am?” “No, but you will soon be known.” Caitlin became confused at what the witch said and it was then her eyes lowered to see that she was holding onto something which peeked out from her coat. She saw something black which looks like a book and it gave her the description of the sacred book the priest talked about which she had pictured from the mind of the other priest. “I see that you’ve stolen the so-called sacred book. What is it about this sacred book exactly?” Caitlin asked, looking curious.

She said moving to the other side of the library. I came across different books about werewolves, witches, Lycans, vampires and even hybrids and many more I had no idea existed like the fairies and fox shapeshifters. Although I wanted to read them all now I knew it wasn't possible so I picked out a book that was titled ‘THE FEUD BETWEEN TWO WORLDS’ this was written in big bold engraved like the font on the hard black cover then there was another title underneath ‘THE WOLVES AND THE VAMPIRES’

I wasn’t allowed access to such books at the palace—they were reserved only for the healers and the educated men—and I wonder if I may finally find my answers here. I’m distracted, though. My skin itches, and every time I see the word “wolf” on the page, I think of Ethan’s eyes. Every time I shift position on the bed, I think about how he massaged me. Every time I catch the smell of woodsmoke drifting from one of the rooms below, I’m reminded of his scent. Twilight arrives, and my room is painted in grey shadow. I’m reading about how a wolf bite can activate the wolf gene in a half-wolf, when someone knocks on the door. I drop the book.

“Put your finger out.” I do as he says, and I wait for the burn to come, but it doesn’t. I close my eyes to numb any pain if it comes. I slowly open my eyes to see why I didn't burn. The author did an excellent job in a lot of things regarding the supernatural. I walk out of the cave, still masking my scent, and bathe my body under the sun.

Scarlett wasn't often open to people until now. But maybe it was a streak of luck the universe has blessed her with. "Here we are," Maddie turned and parked right at a book shop. "Thanks. I'm gonna need you to send me back to school after." "Sure." The two tone-haired redheads entered the shop, and were met by aisles and shelves of books. "Come on, I know where they are." Maddie gestured her fellow age-mate towards the next aisle. She instantly found the Twilight novels. "New moon...Eclipse...Breaking Dawn...a-ha! Here it is, Midnight Sun!"
