I became stunned to see that I'm being carried. 'Wait carried?' I asked myself because it now seems that my eye is making things up. First I saw Sophia's Dad, and then he turned into a werewolf and he started chasing me….. and then he all of a sudden….. 'What did he do all of a sudden?' Panic became the next other of the day. He rolls his eyes. "Not everyone hates Twilight like you." "I don't hate Twilight. I just don't like the fact that Edward shines in the sun instead of burning. It's just not believable." He rolls his eyes yet again.

Kora’s POV I didn’t sleep that night. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Aaron’s reflection staring back at me from the river—his voice sliding into my thoughts like oil on water, dark and slick. I tried to convince myself it wasn’t real, that it was some leftover trauma from the void, but deep down, I knew better. Something inside me had changed. The next morning, I found Edward already awake. He stood on the balcony, shirtless, the cold biting at his skin, but he didn’t seem to feel it.
