Shattered Vows
I asked, my voice barely there.
“Somewhere safe,” he answered. And then, as if it was obvious, “Before he gets back up and does something we all regret.”
I glanced at Edward. He was struggling to sit up, spitting blood onto the floor. But his eyes… They were still wild. Still dangerous.
I grabbed my purse without thinking. My phone. Keys. And then I followed Noah out the door. Leaving Edward behind. For now.
