Dante blushed, "you flatter me, ma'am." "Nah, I'm just stating facts." "Thank you." Dante smiled appreciatively. Umbria smirked inwardly. She was thinking too much. There's no way he is still alive.

She blushes softly before waving me off. Her answer makes me dissapointed but I don't blame her. It is not I have any right over what she does. I follow her out her perfume wafting into my senses with her every step. She smells so nice just like a mixture of lavender, jasmine and hyacinth. I can't stop staring at her when she is not looking. She turns back when she reaches her car that I almost bump into her. That is how absent minded her body has made me. "Do you need a ride home?" she asks.

My heart starts racing. **** Xavier's POV "Rosaline is awake and is heading here now." I say watching Jarett's wife Kayleigh, who is the first ever female warrior, smile. She's been excited ever since told them. "Now continuing on, no one tells Rose that the party is also for her. I want it to be a surprise. Mom, I want you to take Rose out shopping today, get her anything she needs, clothes etc. Kayleigh, you may join them if you'd like." she smiles and nods at me.

She was kneeling by one of the rose bushes, a large pair of gardening scissors in her hands. She was trimming the dead blooms, her movements careful and precise, her head bent low over her work. She wore a simple gown, the fabric long enough to cover the ground around her, and a bonnet like every other maiden.

All that was left was for Rosemary to rely on her abilities to take back everything her ex-husband Liam took away from her. This was the reason Rosemary approached Rory. She would settle the grudge herself. She only needed the means to do it. Rory turned to Rosemary. “Shouldn’t you be thanking my good friend?” Rosemary got up and raised her glass, “Mr. Burt, I appreciate your help. I swear that I will forever remember what you’ve done for me.” Karl toasted her and drank another sip from his glass. “Just remember that I’m only doing it for Rory’s sake. If you must thank me, you can do it by dedicating yourself to Rory and loving him.”

They want to dismantle the hierarchy of the entire wolf kind. "Who’s your contact?" I demand, stepping back. "How are you moving across borders unseen? Who’s feeding you intel?" He grins up at me, his teeth stained red. "The Rose." My heart hammers against my ribs. "What did you say?" "The Rose," he whispers, a look of reverence crossing his twisted face. "She blooms in the dark. She carries the scent of the garden and the poison of the grave. She opened the door for us." Wild roses.

“Rose-“ But before I could even finish my word, I felt a hand wrap around my waist and then I was being lifted up and off of the floor and the world went black. **** “You can open your eyes now.” The first thing I noticed as Damien lowered me to the ground was the intense smell of black roses. Since they were different from normal roses, they had a distinct smell which was richer and stronger than any other rose in the world. It was also the only rose that stayed in bloom for an entirety of two months. As I had expected, when I opened my eyes, I was no longer standing in the Shelter, in the middle of the ocean, but in the inner gardens of Damien’s castle, the place where we first met.

“No, it’s the fact that a worthless housewife made it through the front doors that I find astounding. You don’t belong here, Celeste.” He stalked towards me, and I backed away. “But I’m more than happy to rectify that mistake.” His lips curled into a twisted smile. Then Brian stepped in front of me, his tall frame towering over Damien. “That is no way to treat a lady, never mind one of Celine’s honored guests.” The powerful man glowered. “Show some respect to Ms. Rosemary.” Damien froze where he stood, stupefied. “You mean to say that the woman behind you is the rising designer, Rosemary?” He furrowed his eyebrows, incredulous. “No offense, Mr. Mars, but I think you’ve been deceived.”
