A light, warm and faintly gold, shimmering in the center of Dominic’s chest, not visible to ordinary sight, not even visible to most wolves, but I had the Twilight Eyes now, and the Twilight Eyes saw everything that carried power. The light pulsed slowly, like a second heartbeat, and I understood without being told that it was his wolf core beginning to surface. The deepest part of him. The part that did not negotiate.
