Theron's POV The day of the event was finally here. This is the day I officially put Twilight on the map. Another success to celebrate. Many of my past lovers have been calling nonstop to accompany me to the event but I turned them all down. I don't want any drama tonight so I decided to just go alone.

one of the soldiers snapped, “What the fuck are they talking about!” Another soldier suddenly raised his hand and pointed at the distant skyline: “—Look!” A golden glow of light shot up into the night sky. It exploded into millions of little colorful sparkles, painting the black canvas into a pink and orange halo. Fireworks! “Why are they doing fireworks? Is today a Lycan’s festival?” Just then, more fireworks went up into the sky and they formed two giant letters that dominated the skyline: W&J. “Wait…” a soldier gasped, “…W&J…Isn’t it…Westin and Aurora?!”

As the sun dipped slightly lower and the twin trees shimmered in the distance, I placed a hand over the book and closed my eyes. Somewhere, just past the edge of our firelight, destiny was preparing its next move… and I was more than ready. I could barely sleep, but by the time it was morning, I knew for sure that this was the moment I'd been waiting for all along. The sky had turned strange—a deep twilight blue even though the sun was supposed to be rising. I squinted, then I saw it. Two celestial bodies in the sky. The sun and moon, rising together.

Twilight looked into the camera and said, "Everyone, I'm here to let you know that tomorrow's stock market will go down in history. Have fun!" Then, she raised her wine glass at the camera before the broadcast ended. Scarlett asked in confusion, "What … is Twilight trying to do?" Larissa frowned. She had a vague idea of Twilight's plans. Ambrose's expression was grim. He said, "Twilight has gone mad." Twilight first took advantage of the clones to control numerous wealthy people. But no one could tell if those individuals were still human. Nobody would know if they got cloned. Then, Twilight attacked the stock market.

The night air outside was cool and crisp, stars scattered across the inky sky. When they arrived, the bonfire was already in full swing. Flames crackled and danced in the middle of the clearing, casting golden light across the crowd of laughing teenagers. Some stood in circles roasting marshmallows on sticks; others sat on logs, chatting over drinks. Music pulsed from a portable speaker nearby, blending with the sound of waves crashing against the distant shore. Ava pulled the car over and turned off the engine. The girls stepped out, instantly hit by the warmth of the fire.

I hit the button activating the jets as soothing bubbles massaged my body. With my back toward the door, I lay facing the windows. The sky beyond the panes was a kaleidoscope of colors. Reds, oranges, and pinks swirled with purples and blues as twilight worked to darken the night and replace the sunset with stars. Darkness prevailed as my fingertips began to wrinkle.
