“Wow, is it really twelve packs now?” “Yes, it is,” he says, smiling at me when I look at him. “Out of our twelve packs, the twins were on the run, Amelia, who is an Alpha by the way,” she begins, but I cut her off. “An Alpha? A female Alpha?” “Yep, the first in history. She was claimed publicly before she became an Alpha.” “Is her mate dead too?” I ask.

I ask, sounding absolutely stupid. “What?” he asks frowning. “I heard Alec and his friends talking about twins finding their mates. That’s like marriage, right?” “My sisters, Quinn and Malin. Yes, they found their mates, friends of mine, Alpha Emerson, and Alpha Cohen. Powerful Alphas who are in an alliance with my brother, Alpha Richard.” Now it’s my turn to frown. “But they called you Alpha.”

I tell Ryder. “Why, what did he say?” Ryder asked. “The twins are now in an alliance with Silver Moon and Blood Crescent Moon, Salt River Pack and River Forest Pack. That is why Alpha Dustin was there. He also let me know that Tyler, the twins beta, is mated to Alexis.” I answered.

The Twins 18th Birthday One of the most anticipated days had arrived. It was the Twin's 18th birthday, the day they would officially become Alpha, sharing the duties and responsibilities equally. Both Twins were also looking forward to the prospect of meeting their mates. One of the greatest accomplishments of being an Alpha was being able to find your mate as soon as you turned 18 and producing heirs.

“But he decided at the last minute to tag along. I guess he needed to get out of the house.” Kael shot him a sideways glance and shrugged unapologetically. “Can you blame me? Our twins, Oxxy, our older twin brothers. Teddy is in and out with their monster… Let’s just say I’ve had my fill of chaotic alpha energy for one day.” Lila leaned forward. “Wait. Twins? You’ve got twin alphas?”

It was all nearly a blur to me since I was so preoccupied. “Chase, would you please join us,” Luna April said. About a month ago the twins formally took over as Alpha, and had their own ceremony. Everyone decided New Year’s Eve would be a great time for Cade’s and mine, new year, new pack. I’d now been following our Beta, Thomas around for about three months every day. I was certain he was sick of me, but it only solidified my position. I was born for this though, I was ready.

A Gamma spoke up, his tone cold and unfeeling. Miguel felt his heart drop as he processed their words. “What do you mean? Why?” he asked, feeling uneasy. “We are now working for a new Alpha, one who has promised us better things. His name is Zephyr, the Alpha of the Moon Light Pack,” explained another beta, his tone triumphant. Is this a rebellion, or a command? These Alphas, including Zephyr, have always respected him. He knows Zephyr had always been a hypocrite, but not to this stage.

I moved quickly, reaching out through the link. “Jay, it’s time. Make arrangements with Nick’s superior. I want him, his family, and Mirabella on the next flight to Alaska. He’ll do what I say—or we’ll handle it our way.” Jay’s response came immediately. “Understood, Alpha. But Enola’s refusing to leave without causing trouble.” My wolf snarled. “Then she’ll learn her place. I’m on my way.”

Twin and who looks exactly like him. I could hear Alpha Zef’s deep sigh, “I won’t leave until you get out and show me your face.” I decided to keep quiet. “Come on, Arya. I had a bad day too as one of our pack members has been missing, and Kai is not helping me.” He admitted, “That twin of mine is alpha too yet disregards his duties. He should have just been my beta.” Zef said. “Did something happen while I was away? I heard you did not even get out of your room the whole day.”
