They hadn’t come out of the fight with Harlan unscathed, that much was clear. I looked between them, my heart clenching at the sight of them both so battered and bruised. Ryder’s nose had a nasty scratch across it, maybe not deep enough to warrant stitches, but I imagined it must have been pretty painful. And Tyler’s shoulder had a bite on it that seemed to have bruised instantaneously. “Is Harlan...” I began, but I couldn’t finish the sentence. I wasn’t sure I wanted the answer. The twins exchanged a nervous glance, a silent conversation passing between them. Then Tyler spoke, his voice low and urgent. “You need to shift. We need to go.”

There were indeed a few sets of identical twins in Castle Lore, but she had a good idea which particular pair he was referring to. "The Bella twins?" she inquired, trying to be helpful. "Bella twins? I'm not familiar with them," Jake admitted, shaking his head. "Their names are Cherry and—" "Ixora," Brenna finished for him, nodding in agreement. "They are widely known as The Bella Twins.
