Tyler questioned as he continued to pull the stick aggressively, giving his opponent no choice of fighting back. The man struggled to get away from him, trying to pull the stick away from his neck but only in vain.

My patience was wearing thin, but before I could voice my frustration, the door creaked open, and Tyler walked in. He looked terrible. His face was pale, and dark circles shadowed his eyes. He moved sluggishly, like a man carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. A maid pulled out his chair, and he sat without sparing any of us a glance. Whatever was going on with him, it wasn’t good. “About the fight,” Tyler began, his voice breaking the oppressive silence in the room. “It’s not going to happen.” His words hung in the air, sinking in slowly. I frowned, unable to hide my confusion.

Within seconds, the outcome of the fight was becoming apparent. Thud! Crash! POW! Derrick appeared increasingly worried as the the fight progressed. Several minutes later, Derrick was already grimacing in pain from having endured being struck on more than one occasion. As he stood panting to catch a breath, he spat out a mouthful of blood.
