He screamed but it never prevailed. Landing back on the ground, they halted not but took to their heels. The ground mushed and sprouted up like explosives were inserted beneath, they never looked back except Rapidfire. He saw flying out of the ground like flies Zompires, they are the ugliest creatures in the hidden world. So ugly Rapidfire couldn't illustrate what they were. They vary in sizes and appearances, some had their legs entirely devalued and decomposed, some had their face peeled off revealing nothing but skulls underneath while some had no limbs, crawling on the ground like babies but with half bodies.

Pearl opened the kitchen door and witnessed utter chaos. She couldn't believe how many things that could possibly go wrong at one time, and she started to wonder just what in the hell she had done to piss the universe off so damn bad lately. Sprites...there were hundereds of stinking ass sprites running amuck in the freaking kitchen. They were nasty little critters with a few human like features. They were ugly and they smelled really bad. They had big, pointy teeth that were green brown and covered in green snot looking slobber. They were scavengers and would steal anything, especially food.

I saw how he flinched staring at the disgusting green saliva above my dress. "Disgusting, right?" I asked and stared at my chest with distaste. "Absolutely." He answered before gazing back at the creature who was now struggling from being pinned on the wall with Cool's thick ice. "What...is that?" I asked Cool while staring at the gnarling creature in front of us. "That's a Pillie." My forehead creased upon hearing that familiar word. "Pillie? You mean?" He nodded with my unfinished question. "Yes, that thing over there used to be a flamia or a glacia. The darkess had made her like that." He said as he stares at the creature with pity.

I was just focused on the book I was reading, pretending not to hear them. “Hey ugly,” one of them called out. “Hope you are not planning to show up tonight.” I pushed back my glasses that were falling off my nose and continued reading. One of them walked to my desk, grabbed my book and dropped it to the floor. “You don't ignore beauty like us.” She said, titling her head smugly. She continued “have you gotten a prom date? Oops, I forgot. Nobody will want an ugly duckling like you to be their date.”

It let out a miserable cry and staggered backward to stabilize itself. After retreating several steps, the creature's form became clearer. It was an enormous monster, entirely ink-black and covered in sharp spines. Its large mouth was filled with pointed teeth, and various disgusting fluids flowed out of its mouth. It caused one to feel nauseated just by looking at it.

It was humanoid, but covered totally in moss. It reached out its arms to her, brandishing wicked claws just inches from her face. "Wicked girl, tastes like fruit. We like. We feast on wicked girl. We taste, we take, we free." Bailey stared up at the creature, her lips pulling back in distaste. "What would you know of wicked, kobold?" She hissed at the creature. "Shouldn't you be at home, all snug in your cave right now?"

They were larger than the minions they had fought earlier—twisted, nightmarish beings, with gnarled limbs and jagged, obsidian-like claws that scraped the earth as they advanced. The ground shook beneath their heavy footsteps. One creature, with a serpent-like body and a face covered in jagged teeth, lunged forward with unnatural speed. The air was thick with the foul stench of decay, a smell that only intensified as the creatures drew closer, the malice in their presence almost tangible.

I couldn’t even catch my breath before the ground trembled violently again. Something was coming. I forced myself to focus. Minseok’s voice echoed in my head. *Listen to me... you have to listen...* The chasm widened further, and the creature that began to rise from it was enormous. Its massive, scaled body twisted and coiled as it slithered upwards, its red eyes burning with malice. It looked like a serpent, but there was something distinctly humanoid about its shape. The skin shimmered with an eerie iridescence, reflecting the faint glow of the walls around us.

Compared to this, spiders are cute little fluffballs. “A Skirefen,” Laverna whispered. “And one of the ugliest possible.” “Kays… and you slept with that?” I whispered in shock, unable to tear my gaze away from the hostile abomination before us. “Iza… I’m in shock myself,” the dark-haired man admitted without dodging it. Everything happened very fast. When the creature revealed itself in all its hideous glory, we heard its grating voice: “Celebrated too early, bastards! You’ll never get your keys!”
