Kinsley sighed and shook her head with a frustrated frown. “No, I haven’t. Everything leads me to multiple kinds of creatures, spikes of a chupacabra, poison of a wraith, resilience of a ghoul. I can’t find one thing that fits all of those descriptions. It’s almost as if this creature is made up of multiple ones. Like some douchebag was playing Frankenstine with monster parts.” She plopped into her office chair with a frustrated growl and banged her head on the desk once, grunting as Weaver patted the back of her head.

"I guess, I'm leaving. I am going to see Katie" They embraced. Kay said "Call me" "I will" he replied finally leaving. ° ° ° Below the city lights to the dark cronies and gatherings of unidentified refuse and sewages, there were disturbing conjuring of unusual slimy yet bloodied creatures clinging together. This strange creatures could pass pass for reptiles such as snakes though they appeared white with coats of blood red. Joined together, they transformed to a beautiful light skinned damsel fully naked in all her glory. She saw the moon through a tiny hole just above her wavy hair. She smiled as she seemed to sniff the stinking air.

From cornering the creatures after they exited their home, to others closing the circle. The horrors that writhed within the enclosed circle didn’t look very human anymore. Half of them were missing. Like they’d been torn apart in some horrific battle and now their wounds lay open and rotting. The smell was horrendous. How could these creatures expect to bring new victims to the wight if they looked like this and smelled like this? Ebony had expected them to look human, but they didn’t look remotely close to being human. Their smell, too, was just as repulsive as their appearance.

Ian said as I growled at him. “Don’t take it to heart, Katrina. I’ll go on.” ‘Look at it, everyone knows you’re a troublemaker, even Hades.’ ‘Last warning, Mel.’ ‘I know, the truth hurts.’ “From those that survived occurrences of the kidnapping for abductions, they described creatures of yellow skin, round red eyes, and horrible teeth.” Kane and I looked at each other and I knew it was time to talk. “Tailless, yellow teeth, sharp iron claws, gorilla-like movement, and weird hairs around their head?” The Alpha and the Elder looked at me with pure shock.

Ydrian stared at his masterpiece. Once a baker, now turned into a humongous flesh-eating beast. Once a maiden, now melted into a blob of flesh and blood. Once a tailor, now growing fur and claws- and then howls. "HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!" his laughter filled the courtroom as the creatures continued to reach their peaks of evolution. He found it funny how seemingly beautiful humans were at first- and now they've turned into something so hideous as that.

Elara's POV The sound of war erupted from outside the hall. Screams. Metal clashing. The distant roar of something that was not human. It echoed through the stone walls, seeping into the great hall like poison. The guests who had not already fled pressed themselves against the walls, their faces white with terror. More creatures emerged from the black hole. They were twisted, ugly. Some had too many limbs. Others had no faces, only smooth skin where features should have been. They moved with jerky, unnatural movements, their claws scraping against the marble floor. The scientists had done their work well.

We deserve peace. A growl rumbled ahead, low and menacing, snapping me right out of my swirling thoughts about Adrian. My eyes focused forward, and there they were—those twisted creatures, the very same ones we'd battled back at our old camp. Ugly, unnatural things with limbs that didn't move quite right, eyes glowing with some unholy hunger. My heart rate picked up again, slamming against my ribs like a warning drum, as the full weight of the mess we're in crashed down on me.

Only hunger, vengeance, and power. They came in numbers—creatures of all kinds. Rogues, half-shifted beasts, misshapen hybrids of man and monster. Some walked upright, others crawled or slithered. Their eyes glowed faintly in the dust-choked air, and their bodies shifted unnaturally beneath tattered clothing or thick fur. Growls rumbled low among them, but none dared speak.

My chest tightened, but I kept my stride steady. We entered a long hall of glass-walled cells. Inside, the creatures didn’t look like wolves. Didn’t look like humans either. They were twisted, twitching things — bones warped under grayish flesh, jaws that didn’t align, eyes rolled white. The stench of sweat, fur, and something chemical seeped through the vents. I slowed, unable to look away. One hurled itself at the glass, its mouth foaming, teeth gnashing. The impact shook the wall, but the barrier held. Its howl rattled in my chest.

Their heads twisted upside down. Bones snapping. Limbs dragging unnaturally. Noah nearly vomited. “What IS THAT?!” Kai stepped in front of everyone. His fists clenched. “Ugly.” The creatures smiled. Their jaws unhinged. Then they charged. Kai punched the first creature so hard its head twisted completely off. “THAT felt amazing!” “No celebrating!” Lena screamed. She pulled Tess backward as another creature lunged. Elara grabbed a broken metal rod and slammed it into one creature’s throat.
