Unforeseen Entanglement

Unforeseen Entanglement

The nursery looked good, though, slowly transforming into a peaceful space. While the paint dried, Diana arrived with an armful of books. “Luna pregnancy guides,” she explained, stacking them on the floor. “Werewolf child development. What to expect when your baby might have supernatural abilities. Light reading.” I looked at the stack, feeling slightly overwhelmed. “There's a lot to learn, huh?” “You'll be fine. Just take it one chapter at a time.” That evening over dinner, Marcus started telling embarrassing stories of Christian that he told him.

He figured that there should be more books in it. He placed the parcel on the floor, grabbed himself a cutting knife, and took out the books from the box. All the books were for pregnant women: "All You Need to Know about Pregnancy", "Food for Pregnant Women", "Keeping Fit for Pregnant Women", "Music for Babies", "Pre-natal Stories for Expecting Fathers"... the list went on and on. Lucas' heart throbbed as he stared at the five books in front of him. He wanted to place them back on the bookshelf, but then his arms turned as heavy as lead.

This&That
Why is the book ending? There isn’t an answer to what happened to the characters. I enjoyed the book but did get a little bit disappointed when the main characters kept repeating the events in their lives but I thought it was a good story line and interesting too. Can it not be finished ?

I lost my patience after chapter 202. FL is extremely infatuated with ML. ML tries to prove his new-realized love towards his exwife by risking his life countless times. Not only she refuses him despite her lust but also denies him the knowledge that he’s her baby’s father. I won’t read anymore.

AFTER REBIRTH, I BECAME UNTOUCHABLE

AFTER REBIRTH, I BECAME UNTOUCHABLE

The only thing I would ever give Patricia Allen credit for was that, despite being a terrible person, she somehow created the most adorable children ever. Anna was cute with big doe eyes and smooth skin that made her look like the kind of child people instantly wanted to protect. Billy had this playful boyish charm that made you want to spoil him rotten the second he smiled. And Gracie? She was honestly the cutest baby in the entire world. They were more than perfect for the children’s line and because of them, I suddenly had an even better idea for how to launch Phynix. Billy blinked in confusion while Anna raised an eyebrow at me suspiciously.

Unborn Baby Exposes My Husband's Infidelity

Extra Story: Our Superhero Mommy I woke up in a warm darkness. No, perhaps I had been awake all along. In my world, there was no light, only the sound of Mommy's heartbeat – thump-thump, thump-thump – like a song that would never end. There's another one just like me, let's call him Brother. We floated together, sharing all the nutrients and emotions that came from Mommy. At first, Mommy's emotions were peaceful, as gentle as the amniotic fluid around us.

UNBIDDEN DESIRES

UNBIDDEN DESIRES

I stared down, my breath catching in my throat as I watched the subtle, almost ethereal movements beneath my skin. It was surreal seeing the baby’s movements so clearly. The sight of it was both dazzling and overwhelming. I reached out a trembling hand, gently placing it on my abdomen, feeling the life growing inside me. Despite the tumultuous storm of emotions and the danger that loomed over me, this quiet connection with this child brought an unexpected calm. I closed my eyes, absorbing the reality of the tiny life growing inside me. In that intimate, tender moment, I found a fleeting comfort—a reminder that, despite everything, this baby was mine.

love the fact the author helps the readers feel all those emotions we feel in relationships from the happiest to the most self loathing, but gives you that hope that of course love will conquer, even when we don't feel we deserve it!

the story is so human. focusing on emotions. the people are highly emotional beings especially Kat and Reegan and so they make so many mistakes that seems idiotic. though the dealing with emotions could be better. This story is captivating and steamy and I just couldn't put it down

Frequently Asked Questions

The novel 'The Unborn' was written by David S. Goyer, who's probably better known for his screenwriting work on films like 'The Dark Knight' trilogy and 'Blade'. It's fascinating how someone so deeply embedded in Hollywood's superhero scene also dabbles in horror literature. Goyer has this knack for blending mythic elements with gritty realism, which shines through in 'The Unborn'—it reads almost like a screenplay, with visceral imagery and tight pacing. I stumbled upon it after watching the 2009 movie adaptation (which Goyer also directed), and while the book differs in some ways, that same sense of creeping dread ties them together.

What really stuck with me was how he reworked Jewish folklore about dybbuks into a modern psychological thriller. It's not just jump scares; there's this undercurrent of generational trauma that gives the horror real weight. Makes me wish Goyer would write more novels—his storytelling feels even more unfiltered on the page than in his films. The way he builds tension chapter by chapter had me reading with all the lights on for weeks.
