Unhinged Book Door Novels & Stories

I stand by the window casting my gaze outside, the whole mansion is swarming with his men, they takes turns in securing the house even when he is off on duty. I stepped out of the room, Boredom written all over my face, I had just finished the last chapter of a book I was reading and I needed to keep myself busy. Not until recent did I find out that we had a library at home, One of things he had done in the past few days was inform me about the library in the second room in the corridor basically guarded by what seems to be an invisible door. I have walked past that place several times but I never noticed it. The door was like a wall, no handle, no pin, nothing. All I had to do was place my

Niko As I survey the room, I notice three distinct doors, each providing access in and out of this space. The first door, positioned at the back, swings open to reveal a cramped area filled with storage cupboards. Among the clutter, I spot an elderly woman nestled among the shadows, her presence almost hidden. She exudes an air of gentle vulnerability, with silver strands framing her soft, weathered face. Though her age marks her features, she radiates a sense of inherent harmlessness, as if shaped by years of quiet resilience.

And when I managed to touch it, a hidden door opened right in front of me. The door was inconspicuous and not carefully observed. Carefully, I approached it. This secret door was wedged between the bookshelf crevice and quite narrow. If I wanted to enter, I had to hold my breath so my belly wouldn't get stuck. Before deciding to enter, I peeked into the room behind the door. It was dark, just darkness greeting my vision. And there didn't seem to be any button here that could illuminate the room a little. So, I took the initiative to search for a candle in this room.

he grunted. Down a hallway that led away from what seemed to be a massive lounge, Hayden pointed and directed her toward a door with a sensor on it. He placed his thumbprint on it and it popped open. Georgia realized it was a facade with a different door made of thick metal behind it. This door’s dark color and strongroom-style design clashed horribly with the rest of the home’s beautiful look. The facade door didn’t and kept it hidden when closed. Hayden again scanned his print to unlock the second door and it swung open with a loud, metallic ‘clang’. Both doors closed behind them and Georgia heard loud clicks as they locked again.

He huffed and pulled back, stepping away from the still sizzling door. “You have no concept of politics. With everything at stake, it has nothing to do with me being honorable, and everything to do with this is what has to be done.” Then, he vanished from beyond the hole in the door. At least for now, he wouldn’t try to take the book back, but I knew that it was only a matter of time before we had this fight again. I found something to cover the hole in the door, but I left the dresser in front of the door since it wouldn’t close again until the frame was replaced or repaired.

Dust motes, disturbed by our violent entry, danced in the few slivers of gray light that cut through the grimy, high-set windows, illuminating a vast, shadowy expanse of towering bookshelves that receded into an abyssal darkness. The door, splintered around the lock, wouldn’t latch. Jake immediately threw his weight against it, his boots skidding on the polished marble floor. “It won’t hold! I need to brace it!” he grunted, the strain evident in his voice as the door shuddered under an impact from the other side. A pale, grasping hand shot through the gap, fingers clawing at the air.

He connected the two and while it wasn’t a secret, it was not well known and those that did know, also knew it was for our family only. I ran my finger over the old leather chairs that sat in the small room and made my way to the other side to find the door that led to the library itself. This door was an actualy bookcase, so from the other side, you couldn’t tell it was a room back here. That was my favorite part. I slipped out and headed straight for the books I was looking for. I had about a dozen when I returned from the room and closed both doors, locking them as well. I had work to do.

The title on it was. "Lore of Elm. This is it." Lore of Elm has that eerie feeling surrounding it. Of course they are, it's a cursed book after all. But the creature who'll be reading the book were also cursed so it's fine. Probably. After opening the magical lock that sealed the book and returned the other books, Noel hummed while he walked towards the exit, when he realized another door was connected to Room Magma. The shape of the door couldn't be identified from the distance where Noel stood because the lights weren't able to reach where the door was, with it being hidden behind one of the shelves.

I glared darkly at the lock, feeling frusterated that the only obstacle between us and Maxwell, was a rusted lock. "Look at the hinges on the door. They are metal pegs. If we can find something to whack them out with, we could prbably unhinge the door. The only thing keeping this door together, is the weight of the wrought iron." Seria said pointing to the cylinder shaped pegs holding the edge of the door to the wrought iron cage. I grinned at her, thankful she was quick on her feet. But the problem was, we didn't have a whole lot of time to search for something strong enough to loosen a few pegs. As we speak, Laylia and her goons where probably on their way down.

Silver light poured upward from an endless abyss. At its center... an enormous ancient door slowly rose from beneath the earth. Unlike every door Adrian had seen before... this one had no handle. No lock. No keyhole. Only seven words carved into its surface. THE AUTHOR NEVER LEFT THIS PLACE. The White Book opened by itself. One final sentence appeared. Open this door... and every answer will demand a sacrifice. The ancient door stood motionless. Its surface was carved from a material no one could name. It wasn't stone. It wasn't metal.
