Unhinged Book Door Novels & Stories

He grabbed my arm, hoisting me up and shoving me toward the pantry door. In one fluid motion, he pushed me behind the door, pressing my back against the wall in the narrow gap between the door and the frame. I was pinned there, my chest heaving, my breath coming in short, jagged gasps, the scent of his cum and my own arousal still clinging to me. He slammed the door almost shut, leaving just enough of a crack for air, and stepped back, quickly adjusting his trousers and zipping up. The door swung open. My mother stepped in, her face a mask of bubbly confusion, I could see her through the little space.

She found the staircase in forty seconds. It was behind a bookshelf on the far wall not a hidden door in the theatrical sense, no mechanism or drama to it, simply a shelf unit that had been positioned to cover a door and was attached to the wall with two brackets that, when released, allowed it to swing outward on the door's own hinges. The kind of concealment that worked not because it was clever but because nobody was looking for it.

I whispered. Silas nodded, his eyes intense. “Try it.” I punched in the code: 1-1-2-2. A soft click echoed, and the safe door swung open. Inside was… nothing. Just an empty compartment. Disappointment hit me like a punch, but before I could say anything, a low rumble filled the room. The bookshelf beside the safe shuddered, then slid to the side, revealing a hidden door built into the wall, its surface etched with the same wolf-and-moon carvings as the library entrance.

Far in its bones, this house was alive. I found the study two doors down. Unlocked. There were floor-to-ceiling books along the walls inside. A glass tray had a half-full decanter of amber whiskey. The fireplace was cold but there was still the scent of burnt cedar in the air. I ran my fingers along a row of spines, titles in Latin, philosophy, eroticism, war. One book had a hidden cutout in the middle. A flash drive inside. I removed it. Behind the desk, I saw a framed photo.

She thought Edwin was judging me for being pregnant and she was smirking with satisfaction. Edwin glanced at the cardboard box on the floor, and when he saw the broken frame with a picture of me and Matthew, his smile vanished. "Why keep this junk around?" I laughed too, and as I walked past the box on the way, I gave it a kick. "Right. Once you toss out the trash, there’s no need to pick it up again." With that, I ignored Matthew's scowl and slid into the passenger seat of the Porsche. I had to say, riding in that car worth over three hundred thousand dollars was really comfy.

I said. “It doesn't have to mean anything,” Rowan reasoned, but I was already by the door. I ran back to the lab, finding the spot Catherine had been looking at. Enzo and Rowan joined me a moment later, surveying the nearly empty shelf with nothing but a single book on it. I picked up the book and heard a faint click. Then the whole shelf began to slide to the side, revealing a door with a key panel. “Holy shit,” Enzo muttered.

The doors were labelled with planets of the solar system except Earth; they were not labelled for figurative purpose because each door actually leads to the planets mentioned; those doors were known as “Dimensional Gates” Eric opened a brown door in front of him which had no tag, the door led to a large library, he climbed up three steps and was standing in the large room full of book shelves; one could spend a life time dedicated to reading and still not finish the books in this library. Mystical books of various sizes and titles like: Eye of the universe, Esoteric Time science, Time and Matter, Anti-matter and Gods, The way of Nova, The way of Elohim, The trinity, Mastering the Magic of Da

James said and then stepped forward to help Brian pull on the bars. The old hinges creaked slightly, but the door was stuck. Enrico and two others came to give them a hand and very slowly the door opened to reveal an entire room, almost like a bank vault. The musty odor of old books filled their nostrils, making them gag, but then four phone torches lit up the bookshelves and the dusty desk that had been hidden away for decades. The ink pot and the pen lay on top of the desk, a stack of papers lay beneath a tray that served as a paper weight. A filling cabinet stood in the corner, the key hung from the ring on the side.

I noticed something while searching for the Library door. Apart from the main entrance to the mansion and the main hall, all the doors in the Avereza Mansion are of the same size. I said before that the door is actually a book but it's really a door designed in such a way that it looks like a book. It's made to look like an open book and there are 6 rectangular spaces placed in triangles on the door. Three on one side of the door, 3 on the other side of the door. Another rectangular space was found not on the door but on an anvil-like stone block in front of the door. I am pretty sure this book I have right now goes there.

After a few moments, the door clicked and unlocked. “Get inside, and don’t ever play hero again.” he literally pushed me inside. “Fine, the magic door. You can figure that out.” He hurriedly went out and locked the door behind me. I was in the old study, with tall bookshelves filled with hardbound books. I went through it, finding the magic door, like he said. I looked down. It usually had scrapes on the floor or a dent on the carpet. And I was right. I pulled all the books until I found resistance. I pushed it back, and it clicked. The shelf moved, and I entered to see faces staring at me incredulously as if I had just gone insane.
