“So, tell me about your company. Why’d you start it? What kind of projects do you guys usually work on? Are you a licensed contractor?” “Yep,” I said. “As for why I started it, I noticed there was a lack of shifter-friendly construction companies in the area, and that was a niche I knew I could fill. We’ve worked on everything from shifter-friendly office spaces to the Polar Shift Academy, which is the local integrated school.” “I think I saw that one on the news. How’s the faculty?” he asked as he started cutting into his steak. “Great so far. Noah loves his teacher, and she’s fantastic with the kids. Fight how you would fight if he was a true enemy. I am a runner, I’m sneaky, and I am a shifter. I stepped up, dipping low, twisting my body on to the ground as I stretched my leg out, swinging it with force. The palms of my hand rest on the soft fabric beneath our feet, but my claws break through, and I can feel the cushion deep within. My leg hits the side of his knee, causing him to buckle, and lose that strong stance he took. He tries to catch himself from falling as I twist my body back up, lifting my knee high, making contact with his chin. His body begins to fly backwards. Everyone trained. And thanks to X’s push, a new rule was born: at age ten, every wolf—boy or girl—would have a full day each week dedicated to training. Schools had even updated their curriculum to include it. They called it Shifter’s Class. Those who could shift trained in their fur. The rest learned discipline, strength, and control. They’ll shred you alive over there.” “I know, Hilda. But there’s nothing I can do. My fate is sealed.” I said with defeat, lowering my head. Umbra Academy was a school for the elite of shifters and witches where they were taught how to rule and steer ahead in this power-hungry world. Although it seemed like a promising place, bullying and murder were often found to take place on its campus.

Give the notepad to Logan. Let him grace the Maths teacher before he begins his lessons. Am I clear?" "Y-Yes!" "Swear on your eyesight that you'll not open it." "I… I swear." he turned around and ran into the magnificent building. The school's name is 'Shifter high'. As its name suggests, any shifter of good behavior and outstanding qualifications was welcome here.

Lillah’s body still shook, on the cusp of a shift, “ I don’t think Neeri is in the mood to listen right now.” “That’s ok, we shall still try, you will have to practice at this.” He stroked her face. “Lillah, you have to step back while Neeri steps forward. Part of the issue is that you do not give way, the other part is that Neeri forces control. Look.” He picked a flower from the meadow. “When you shift you are turning every petal and the flower head individually to make it face the other way.” He demonstrated, destroying the flower in the process. “What you need to do,” He picked another flower, “is just turn.”

‘Wait, wait, Prince Killian, please, we stand with you, free us, you cannot fight him alone his magic is powerful. The Alpha Wolf, Lyon called to him and he turned and lifted a finger and the Wolf’s cage door clicked open, Killian moved his finger along the line of cages and one by one their doors opened. With equal parts fear and amazement, the crowd quiets to a soft purr. “Welcome family, friends, clans, and alphas, to the beginning of these adult shifters’ lives. Today, you will pledge to help guide and nurture these shifters in a world that can be magical and scary. We will hold you to this pledge by shifter laws. As we go forth, please support these adults as they meet their animal.” As the crowd repeats the pledge, a rise in power fills the room.

“Where did you hear that shit?” I could hear the skepticism in Dude number two’s voice. “It’s all there on Shifter,” Dude number one replied. “Seriously?” “Seriously, Dude.” I glanced over, and they both had their phones open. This Shifter thing must either be a website or an app. The bartender came back to check on us; we each ordered a refill. “Can we get a table?” “I’ll ask.” “Thanks.” I checked on the app first. Sure enough, there it was. It had the High Council logo. “Learn something new every day,” I commented while creating an account.
