Horus replied in a cold tone. Venus let out a long sigh. "Don't beat around the bush, just tell me the truth: who are my real biological parents?" Horus then walked past Venus. "Your mother is a famous border guard from your adoptive father's family. She is the biological sister of your adoptive father. While your real father is a king lycan from the Arcan Pack," said Horus calmly. "Arcan Pack," Venus furrowed her brow. "Isn't that a pack that went missing decades ago?" Venus asked while walking behind Horus.

His eyes scanned the room, sharp and calculating. Knox stopped just behind Lydia’s chair. “Good morning,” he said, voice rough from lack of sleep. “I see you’ve started without me.” Brian stood. “Alpha.” The rest of the table followed suit in silent respect. Knox gestured to the man beside him. “This is my uncle Jack. And Uncle, this is my Luna, Lydia.” Jack stepped ahead and stretched out his hand. Lydia took it. “Nice meeting you, Lydia,” he said. “Well,” Knox continued, “I guess now is the time to announce this. I’ll be leaving the pack for a few days. I trust Beta Brian to oversee all matters, alongside my Luna. Lydia and I hope you all comply with her judgement.”

Whenever I see him walk with class, I always wonder if he used to be a model before starting his own runway show. The boss came to the center and greeted us all. “What does that even mean?” “The Nexus was a barrier,” Elijah explained hurriedly, his hands moving as if trying to piece the words together. “It kept this world stable, kept certain…forces locked away. When we destabilized it to purge the rogue wolf, we tore a hole in that barrier. Now that”—he gestured at the shadow—“is leaking through.” Annabel’s stomach dropped. “Leaking through? You mean it’s going to spread?” “Yes,” Elijah said grimly. “Unless we seal it.”

Former Luna Sheila was the first to take the medicine,” the news anchor said. “However, it was later discovered that this infertility treatment is only effective for those women who have been unfaithful to their mates, seeking repeated companionship outside of their mating bond.” My mouth dropped open. Cathy’s eyes went wide. She looked at me. “Did you say something to someone?”

A giant screen that had dropped down from the seamless ceiling lit up, and Kor stood beside it, pointing to the large planet that appeared in the middle of it. "This is my home world, Xaanda, or, translated, Planet of Bounty. You'll notice it resembles your planet Earth quite a bit, although we are several times larger. We have a bright sun much like your own and a second, smaller, red sun. Rotating around our planet are three moons, the resting place for our ancestors. "Alpha Luciano!" Beta Chris called, as he entered into the Alpha's office. "Not now Beta Chris, I'm busy" Alpha Luciano replied, his eyes still fixed on his laptop. "You have to see this, now!" I spun around going through all universes and landed on the universe I knew it was reporting on. "It looks like the universe of wild life no longer exists." I stated as I looked at the universes map that was now completely grey and lifeless. In a few hundred years all wildlife would be gone forever and all humans would suffer. They would never understand or be able to fix their problems. I looked back down at the next page and sliced through it. I didn't even have to look up at the screen that was going off now. The universe of empathy and humanity. How ironic is it that the second page is a universe that helps fuel all hope in mortal realms. How fitting.
