“ROAR” Aiden’s powerful roar shook the eardrums of the aura zombie and it faltered slightly. Its attack paused momentarily and gave Aiden the opening he sought. Without any delay he swiftly span his axe and reversed its motion. With a powerful tug he pulled it back to him and brought it down onto the neck of the aura zombie and before the Undead could regain its wits its head and neck had already been separated from hits shoulders. *Fwoosh*

The party noises all mix together: the splashes in the pool, the music from the speakers, random conversations. I don't know how long it is until my peaceful rest ends. But I suddenly feel a soft hand graze my calf, which jerks me awake. "Ahh!", I yelp as I lose my balance. I end up fully soaked with wet curls draped over my forehead and face. The cool water is a shock to the front of my body. Once I wipe my eyes, I see Shawn. Already annoyed, I ask, "Where's Rochel?" "She's getting a drink, I guess. I don't know. I'm not her keeper", he shrugs.

*ROAR* The large cat roared in fury when it saw that the ant that had bitten it was still coming. Its eyes gleamed with a vicious light, and it brought out the claws that it had retracted earlier, and jumped high into the air. Like a tossed coin it somersaulted midair several times, defying gravity and once again proving that its massive size didn’t hinder it in the slightest. Then it descended towards Arthur and struck mightily, the impact shaking the battlefield like a cannonball smashing into a building.

ROAR! He roared loudly in extreme pain, his breath getting rougher and anger seething through his teeth as he bent down on the floor, holding his leg. His anger fueled up, his eyes color turned blaring gold. Sweating, he caught his breath for some seconds before he suddenly flew up so high.

A howl sounds some distance in the front, just at the same time a group of rogues leap out of the bushes. I spring into motion immediately, all my training kicking in. I knock the first one down just before he shifts into his wolf, wrapping the wire around his neck and pulling hard. Suddenly, the clearing is a battlefield. Weapons clash against weapon, rogues fall down. I roll to the side, avoiding the snapping of fangs as a wolf lands where I stood a second ago. From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself.

It erupts into a blinding light. Even with my eyes squeezed shut, I see it. I have to shield my face. Tisphone screams. I open my eyes to see her covering her face, the whip tumbling from her hand, spinning down into the abyss. Her voice rasps something that sounds like “my eyes!” but again, who really knows? The second the light fades, all the sound crashes back in. Screams, magick, metal, battle. All of it. “Did you just…” Jared starts.

And from the deepest, most shattered part of him— From a place of terror and fury and love and death— Kael let out a roar that shook the entire estate. “RRRRHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” The sound echoed into the night. Into the forest. Into the mountains. Into the sky. Everyone outside froze. Violet dropped Khaenat’s leg. Marek turned. Every Draven wolf lowered their head. Because they knew. They knew what that roar meant. Rhea was gone.

I attempted using my hands to hoist myself up, promptly realising that they were bound together behind me by a piece of rope. I finally opened my eyes, meeting darkness as I attempted moving my feet, realising they were also tied. “Hello?” I called out, “Is anyone there?” I was met with the echo of my own voice as a chair scraped in the distance. “Dear…is that you?” My mom's voice called out, echoing back. I attempted turning my chair towards the sound of her voice, cringing at the sound of metal scraping against the floor. “Yes! Mom it's me,” I replied, choking up as I heard her voice again, for the first time in a while.

“Thank you, Sir, the whole student exclaimed” “One more thing!!“. He shouted. The whole students responded by reducing noise, there was a silent background. Some wondered what he has to say that is taking him many minutes to open up. “There is a rumor spreading like a wind when the time for confirmation comes and if confirmed is true, then there will be no mercy for any victim of the circumstance”. He yelled.
