Percival asked, wanting to know as much as he could.
"Yes. Armand, my son," Adelard said proudly and took a sip of water.
"Wait!" Leaving him for a moment and then returning with a pot of boiling water, Percival said, "You need to break your spell, don't you? Then drink these herbs."
"Right. You're right," Adelard said, smiling at him. As it turned out later, these herbs were too bitter and the tea they made just burned his throat. But Adelard was able to drink it all, leaving a strange colored leaf in the glass that kept releasing an unpleasant aroma.
