I have not checked on them in a while and I am a bit worried” “Sure, you are safe from the spell, so I cannot see any issue with you going. Will Megan be ok with you leaving her here? Mrs James replied sarcastically. “Are you for real? How can you be so insane?” “Dumbass. Get in the car and start driving! What I tell him or what I choose to withhold is none of your business.” Mr James got into the car and ignited the car key. He had no idea how the car kept moving. His soul had left his body. His drunkenness disappeared as he thought about his life – crumbling into heavy pieces in front of him. “I know you always want something in exchange for something.”

"Well, is anyone going to answer me?" "Andrea, we should leave," James speaks, and I hear her oppose. "No, I want to know. You have to tell me. Oh my God, you two are insane…" I hold my breath, expecting a string of cusses and her threatening to reveal what she saw to our parents, but she surprises me with her next words. "This is so fucking hot! Christ!" I lift my head and meet James' eyes, and he looks just about perplexed as I am.

“And pray this is the last time you dare cross this doorstep.” James lifted his head with effort, panting, his shallow breaths scraping in his throat. He leaned forward slowly, defiantly, until his forehead pressed against the cold barrel of the gun. His half-closed eyes were bloodshot red, and a low, hoarse laugh escaped his cracked lips. It was a disturbing, out-of-place sound. He cackled like a lunatic, completely unhinged, as if the whole situation were some private joke only he understood. He spat on the ground beside him with contempt, not backing away from the danger, and fixed his gaze on the gun’s barrel with a sick gleam in his eyes.
