Until We Meet Novels & Stories

We fell asleep tangled together, the link humming with shared resolve and quiet love. The final act was almost here. And we would meet it on our terms as much as we could.

“Dawn will come, and we will meet it side by side. But tonight is still ours.” I let his warmth pull me under again, the bond glowing steady and bright between us.

I got that promotion at work – let’s celebrate! Anything with the word “meeting” in meant meet me, and the word “promotion” meant that we’d got all the information we needed. We’d already agreed to meet back at the harbour when the time came, and I waited anxiously for Sierra to reply as we gathered our things and pulled our coats back on. As we were leaving my phone buzzed. Woo! Sure thing, girl! Normal place, right? I’ll see you soon. I smiled to myself. The fun was only just beginning.

𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐐𝐔𝐄 ♚ "We've had meetings upon meetings before this call and we came to the conclusion that it was best to wait till you got back since we were all aware you had so much on your plate. We understand." Abigail said to me, over the phone.

“We leave in two days. Let's meet at the airport on departure day. Pack light, but be ready for anything.” With that, the meeting ended. In just two days, they would be stepping into the unknown. What lay on the other side was an enigma that they had to figure out, together.

I look at him quickly. — I also don’t think we can resist… — I say,he smiles, and responds.

And that was enough. For now. Because the storm was coming. And we would meet it. Side by side. Stronger. Braver. United. And maybe, just maybe… unstoppable.

I didn't waste any time and hurried outside to the secluded garden where Aiden and I meet every time we feel like speaking with each other during late nights like this.

“Then, what are you still waiting for?! Let me meet them!” “But you just woke up... I—” Suddenly, the sound of a horn cut off our conversation. We look at each other before I say, “Please, Seth. Let me meet them.”
