I glared at him, wrinkling my forehead at his know-it-all behavior. "You must be looking for my boss?" came the question that had me staring at him. “You sound so sure, mister,” I scoffed. He grinned and said, “We don’t accept walk-in clients, ma’am, and bookings are closed until eleven. However, all of those who have booked are here, so we're expecting only one at this hour.” “And he asks me to bring him the guest he is expecting at nine,” he adds. I guessed he was telling the truth, so I nodded. He saved me anyway from the hassle of finding the person I wanted to see.

"Jody, did you take them to see unit one five four? The customer I brought to see the unit yesterday has booked it." Jody looked pitiful, "But my customer is happy with that unit too!" "I brought the customer to see the unit first. I have to save it for him," The male staff member said in a justified tone. Jody walked over to Nathan and Peter and said apologetically, "Mr. White, I'm sorry, the unit has been booked by the customer yesterday. They plan to come over to pay the deposit." Nathan swept her a cold gaze. "They haven't paid the deposit, right? I'll buy that unit! I'll pay for it now! I'll pay for it in full!"

Clara and I looked at each other. Then I said, “We didn’t even tell you the date yet…” “I assume it’s coming up? All rooms are booked for the next three months.”

He pulled out his card and placed it on the counter. “My apologies. We are fully booked. This is a place for dignitaries. And according to our protocols, rooms are booked a week before.” She replied, pushing the card back to Evans.

“Let’s see how long you will last.” “What do you mean?” He turns around grinning. “No other clients, Nerthus! I’ll book you when you give me his name.” “Don’t hold your breath for too long, big boy.” He chuckles as he starts walking to the door, with me following automatically. “You will be paid when you get booked again.” “Oh, but you still owe me for tonight. And don’t forget the extra rounds! So, I guess I’ll be fine for a while!”

She was running as fast as she could so that she would not be late for her lecture. She did not need transportation because her home was close to her university. I arrived at the university gate, and as soon as I arrived, I heard a female voice speaking to her, and her tone did not sleep well at all: "Come on, goat's tail, late as usual, you idiot." I knew from the owner of this voice, he turned back and had a nice smile on her lips to tell her Aseel:

"Bae, nothing could keep me from you. Now that you said those words I am never letting you go. When are you planning on finally letting me meet the kids." "I don't want the first time you meet then to be at the house. I was thinking about meeting at Incredible Pizza this weekend. Bring your niece." I suggested. "It's a date baby."

I felt tears prick my eyes. It had been a long time since she'd cared for me like this. "Thank you, Mom." I took a sip of warm milk and forced a smile. "Mom, Dad, I want this surgery as soon as possible. Let's schedule it for the day after tomorrow." I'd done the math. That was the day I'd die. I'd end my life on the operating table.

It feels…alive.” He smiled and said, “Then maybe you should take it with you.” Days turned into weeks. Camela began to visit the bookstore more often. The man’s name was Aaron—he was soft spoken, patient, never asking too many questions. He told her about his dream of turning the shop into a cozy café for writers.
