Unwanted Roommate Novels & Stories

I'm not a fan of staying in dorms, from past high school experience that I don't wish to discuss, but I guess this will have to do for the next three months until I have got enough to rent out that beautiful apartment, I saw in an ad. I already called the owner and he said I'll have to live with a roommate, and that's cool with me...as long as the person is clean and doesn't mind listening to music. The kind of music I listen to is considered weird, but that's only by the narrow-minded population. I love listening to artists that aren't given enough credit, I would like for them to receive recognition but I don't want that to happen as well.

The laughter didn't make my side hurt anymore. "Damn straight. You should be too. They'll kill humans that know too much." He warned me, cutting my laughter short. "Noted." The room fell silent for a while as Tate busied himself with random things. "Hey, Kiran?" Tate finally cut the silence. "Yeah, what's up?" "You know I'm looking for a roommate. Mine found his mate a couple of weeks ago and moved out with her. How about it? It's $400 a month for everything and the fridge is always stocked."

"Plus, they're looking for someone like you—neat and quiet." "But I've hung out with those guys, and they can be pretty noisy and messy," I point out, and he chuckles. "Last year, Mark got drunk and tried to do a handstand in the living room. In the process, he kicked a hole in the wall," he tells me, and my jaw drops. "Our landlord nearly kicked us out, and they want someone to blame." "S-so—" "You should move into the room I used to have," he suggests quickly, immediately pulling out his phone and tapping away. "They're desperate for someone to take the room, and it's so close to campus."

Jay asked, still sulking. "It's a guy named Shawn. He's a final-year student. For the past three years, none of his roommates managed to stay with him for more than a month. They come to me begging for a room change." " Why?" Jay asked and looked at Noah accusingly. " Nothing much. Unheigenic and things like that," Mrs. Carson shrugs. " I don't think he's so bad." " Yeah, they all must be overreacting," Noah said to Jay trying to convince him.

"I'm not an idiot. I'm already in debt." He would rather take out a high-interest student loan to pay his tuition than waste his precious points on gossip. "Of course you aren't an idiot," I laugh, stepping out as the doors ping open to Basement Level One. "But since I'm in a phenomenally good mood today, I'll give you a free sample of my consulting services." I pause, my smile fades, replaced by something a little sharper. "Stay away from your future roommate. The moment he moves in, keep your distance. Getting close to him will bring you nothing but catastrophic bad luck. He is a walking disaster zone."

When they looked at me again, they wore looks of aggrievance. "Our old house keeps leaking whenever it rains because of the lack of repairs. We just discussed this matter with Pamola and Mathias, and they agreed to let us move into this apartment. "We've already packed our stuff before coming here. It'll make moving into this place much easier. With us being here, things will be even livelier. This apartment won't be that empty anymore. What do you think, Rita?" Those bastards really were coveting for things that were out of their league! Since these people had officially pissed me off, I decided to kick all of them out of my apartment!

He had looked me over with a puzzled expression and said I looked perfectly normal. At least in his eyes, I didn't seem abnormal. Maybe I could ask for his help with this. Just as I intended to go and talk to Noah, he appeared and looked like he wanted to talk to me. "Are you okay, Ivanna? I hope you're not affected by the unfortunate interactions with your previous two deskmates," Noah said with concern. I sighed, feeling frustrated. "It's been bothering me a lot. They were acting like I'm carrying some kind of plague."

No answer. She shrugged and started carrying boxes into the smaller bedroom on the left. The roommate was supposed to be some reclusive guy who worked nights. She had not even seen a photo. As long as he was not a creep, she did not care. She needed cheap rent more than peace of mind right now.

My roommate Rachel Travis’s behavior always struck me as strange. We got along fine most of the time, but whenever it came to social media likes, she’d go down the list of mutual friends, tapping like on everyone’s posts, except mine. Over and over again, she skipped me. I thought maybe she just didn’t see them and didn’t think much more of it. Every time she needed help, I gave it without hesitation. When I got my period and realized I was out of pads, I asked to borrow one from her.

He nodded and rushed out of the room. I sat down on the chair heaving a relieved sigh. But I felt sad for some reason. It would have been nice if he was my roommate. But only if I didn't have those terrible friends. Oh wait! what am I thinking? Why do I want him as my roommate? Not like I am attracted to him or anything. I'm of course not gay. It's just that it would have been nice if I could get some cute and innocent friend like him. I am hella tired of those two jerks and the two heartless cheer-leading bimbos surrounding me. I want someone else. A true friend whom I can rely on.
