Novel & Cerita Valkyrie Book

Einar's body goes rigid, but he still stands firmly in front of me. He straightens his body, releasing his aura in an attempt to suppress me. My horde members stare on in disbelief at our silent battle. Einar's aura coils around me, trying to force submission. I take a deep breath, allowing my aura to run wild. Einar turns pale, staggering ever so slightly. "Valdis was a coward and a liar and under no circumstances will we honor him. Those who choose to do so will follow his fate. Do you understand me?" I seethe.

Long before the Prowler had even been an idea I'd been using a Valkyrie in battles, slaying enemies with all types of heavy weapons. The Valkyrie was a marvel of German engineering, built for firepower instead of stealth. The mech's armour was far thicker than the mech itself, designed to buckle under impact without damaging the electronics inside. In design, where the Prowler was conservative and the Exodus was decadent, the Valkyrie fell somewhere in the middle, earning it the same cautious respect as Axion's Goliath mechs. The Valkyrie's unguligrade legs were built to keep the mech balanced under heavy fire, sloping backwards at the knee joint and ending in two massive, hoof-like feet.

And then he locked eyes on Valentina, sitting beside me, shaken. He stepped toward us and my heart, hardened and armored felt something tighten. Loyalty? Resentment? I didn’t name it. “Ryker,” he called for the first time in years. I nodded once. He reached out and lightly touched my shoulder, a gesture I didn’t melt at, but didn’t reject either. Then he looked at Valentina. “I see she survived you.” he murmured as if that explained everything. Valentina was already shaking, her eyes wide with emotion.

Valeria smiled. “Ever heard of the Valkyries?” she asked. “Of course, everyone knows about them. They are very powerful; they have helped with a lot of wars, and they are fierce slayers. I heard the Valkyries and Vladimir are in a battle; apparently there was a war Vladimir was supposed to help with, but the Valkyries sisters got involved and won. Now, Vladimir is searching for them, but no one knows who they are or what they are or where they are; they are like ghosts. Seen only when they want to be seen,” Egan said.

’ Czer snarled within me, his voice edged with warning. But the way out was gone. The Rift pulsed, alive and aware. And then — I saw them… Figures in the distance, caught between time. Lycans, witches, warriors… and among them, myself... Standing amidst the ruins of Valkyrie, sword drawn, blood dripping down my hands. “No,” I whispered. “That’s not real.” Valentina reached for me, her hand brushing mine. “Andres?” But her touch sent a violent shiver within me and something crushed before my eyes— two moons bleeding together, and between them, her silhouette standing alone, light pouring from her chest.

She better get used to it—with Kaia, Zoe, Summer, and Zoe’s warriors, the she-wolf energy in this group could power a nation. While Mom and Mist start sketching a strategy, Gondul turns to another Valkyrie. “Find Selene, Thor, and Hecate. We need them now. Go!” The Valkyrie doesn’t respond. She just whistles, and one of those stunning white horses bursts from the trees. She swings onto its back, kicks her heels, and is airborne—lightning cracking in her wake.

She snickered. I tried not to laugh, but it was close because Valkyrie winked at me while he gave her a discomforted look. Valkyrie and I take our seats and listen as Jaxon conveys the information we’ve gathered. My heart jumps out of my chest when he recounts my plan and asks for insight. Valkyrie calls out. “I’ll work on the floor with April. Most men…” she eyes every man. “…will see us as easy prey.” She leans close and mutters loudly. “Until they find themselves at the wrong end of our fists.”

Sebastian was unmoved by the woman's violent fury. "Out!" The valkyrie shrieked in his mind. To any mortal, the sight of the Valkyrie with red eyes and brown wings spanning the coach, would've been an intimidating sight. Shredding her slippers, her feet became taloned claws embedding in the coach seat. She emanated predatory hunger. Cocking his head, he studied her new visage, fearless. That really should've been her first hint. He mused. Toying with the book in his hands.

Valerie was reading her book when she heard a loud noise outside. She hops off the bed and looks out her window to see a wolf running right towards her window. She screams just before the wolf crashes through the window glass shattering everywhere. Her fight and flight were not responding quick enough. The wolf was on top of her snapping at her neck. She put her hands on the wolf's neck to keep the blonde-colored wolf from biting her neck. “Wait is this…?” Valerie thought.

I felt relief, gratitude, and love for Luthias as I watched Charles crumple to the floor. Seeing the fate of their leader, vampires started retreating. I’d almost settled the adrenaline from the battle back down in my veins when a powerful burst of energy knocked Luthias to the ground. I gasped with horror as I watched Sybil step out from a thick mist with her hands spread wide like I was taught to do while performing magic. Was Sybil the witch who broke through the shield over Verso?
