“I’ll tell you where Erick is.” “Good.” Isel flashed a victorious smile. “Emiel, don’t, please.” Alina begged from behind me. “Erick is,” I said and instantly used my speed to move forward and snap Isel’s neck, “right behind you.” Erick and Kendrick appeared out of thin air right behind the mercenaries as soon as Isel’s body hit the ground. Erick used the icy sword in his hands to cut through the bodies of the vampires who stood in front of me and left them in pieces on the floor.

She felt like it was more than wolf indicts. The following night, Vivienne had gotten a dream that made her question her reality. In her dream, a valley stretched before her. It was so vast and broken. It’s ground was uneven and soaked in darkness. The sky above it churned violently, clouds twisting like living things, heavy with storm and fury. Lightning tore across the heavens, illuminating the chaos below in sharp flashes that revealed a battlefield unlike anything she had ever imagined. Creatures filled the valley.

"Very interesting circle that you surround yourself in?" "Yes," I huffed, pushing away a piece of my hair away from my face, getting annoyed now. "I'm surrounded by good people. People who protect me. My friend Kaitlyn, a Valkyrie, Sam- " "Oh, so it's you who has the Valkyrie as an ally?" She played again, laughing this time. "As it is, you must protect them. You must help them. They are in grave danger." "Danger?" I quizzed her. Since she wanted to play games, I would try playing one of my own. "What's going on that would put the Valkyries at the heart of danger?"

“If she doesn’t rise—” “She will,” Nyra snapped. “Because she’s Valkhara Emberborn-Queen of Flame, Blade of Blood, and the storm the Council prayed would never return.” She turned back to the pit, her hand raised to the sky like she might strike the gods themselves. “Now stand the fuck back, and watch her burn the world without even lighting a match.” The heat had turned cold. My heart slowed. My lungs shrank. But then.... My blood boiled. Not metaphorically.

Don’t react. “No. Actually, I-” “Then you’ve got no business here,” Ryan snapped. Valery flinched, but didn’t retreat. Not this time. She stepped closer, biting her lip. “Ryan, about Derrick- it’s not what you think. We recently got in touch, and I decided to-” “Of all the disgusting things...” Ryan finally turned his head, eyes locking on hers, sharp yet composed. “I never pictured you as the type to go crawling back to your own vomit.”

Axel shot me a sideways glance, his eyes narrowing slightly before returning his attention to her. "We appreciate your hospitality," Axel began, clearing his throat to continue, but Valkyrie cut him off with a wave of her hand. "I am Valkyrie, remember?" she repeated, her eyes glinting with a knowing light as she flashed her rotten teeth once more. Valkyrie's eyes seemed to cloud over, her gaze drifting inward as she spoke. "She is feeling a sharp pain... because she has refused to regenerate her bond with her mate. And she is pregnant." I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, my eyes wide with shock as I stared at Valkyrie. But Axel's face remained impassive, his expression a mask of calm.

But now, that usual composure was shattered. Valkyrie cursed several times under her breath, her fingers running through her hair, then a mocking laugh escaped her lips, echoing through the room. "She was begging for more?! She should be screaming, beseeching, desperate to save herself from his hold, but she was craving more of it! Crying like whore to have more. How in the Moon Goddess is that possible?!" she shouted, casting a hysterical glance at the old maid. "Is my Darling really in his rut?"

he said while snorting and pointed his sword at Val. “No. You are Vanjoss! Can’t you remember me? It’s me, Valkyrie!” Val shouted and felt strange when she uttered her name. The name she buried along with the memories of Vanjoss. When he died protecting her, she lost herself. It’s like part of her was dead. With the help of her sisters, she slowly returns to her old self, but she has to forget all the memories with Vanjoss for her to keep on living like she promised to him. And that included her name. She didn’t let anyone call her Valkyrie, not even her sister and mother, except Vanjoss. Because she will just remember those horrible memories.

“The book of the gods is a sacred book which requires the touch of immortals to be able to access them. To get that book, you will have to show that you are an immortal and that you posses the necessary knowledge of the gods. “Very well then, can I see the book?” Valerie requested as she hoped to try her luck. The portals were open and a box came through and opened by itself and a book came out of the box. Valerie approached the book and at first, she noticed ancient runes which were written at the cover. She heaved a sigh and touched the book and she felt a force pulling her back but she tried standing her ground. After a while, the force stopped and she felt someone or something whispered

Alice answered after a while. "So you weren't with Alastair then ... " Nick and I have known Alice for a long time. There are only a few Valkyries in this world, maybe around fourteen, maybe less. No one knows for sure. Valkyrie is the goddess of war who lived for hundreds of years, they were born from human parents or Volder. No one knows how someone could be chosen and born into this world as a Valkyrie. Many of us wanted the power of the Valkyries and hunted them down, but of course nothing worked. In the first place, the chances of encountering a Valkyrie were extremely slim ... perhaps seven billion versus fourteen? Second, nothing can beat them. Valkyrie is nicknamed the goddess of war
