Ye Wuhen grumbled, but Xiaoyue growled again, her brows furrowed as she tried to listen intently, "Be careful, these are not your usual bats!" Her voice had just rung when a black shadow shot past them like a black bolt of lightning. With a loud "Bang", the dark ghostly figure slammed into the wall of the cave just behind her with such force that the wall began to crack. Everyone came closer for a look, and to their horror, it was a gigantic vampire bat! The mutated chiroptera had the wings the size that of an albatross' and a completely dark-crimson body. Its eyes were two green-ghoulish orbs the size of a lantern and its fangs, sharp and huge, were the size of an elephant's tusks.

"I am the Shadow Knight. Once Kaelen Dawnblade. Bearer of the Soulstone. Enemy of the corrupt Council. Avenger of the murdered innocents. I claim these names and purposes. I reject oblivion's comfort." The amalgamation of memories retreated, its composite features displaying surprise. The bone song changed tenor, becoming less overwhelming demand and more respectful recognition. The darkness surrounding him thinned, revealing the ossuary's interior fully for the first time. At its centre grew a tree unlike any in the living world. Its trunk and branches consisted entirely of bones fused together, not constructed but somehow grown into this impossible configuration. Instead of leaves, small f

The name that caught my attention was vampire. While helping Ronda, the youngest of the healers, I learned that was the name of a rare breed of bats, which fed on the blood of their prey. Along with the nocturnal habits of that animal, it was a fitting name, because turned out they weren’t actually immortals: they lived extremely long lives, like the wolves. When I met with Aine in my new room later, I thought I could ask her more about them. But she wouldn’t even give me a chance. She came with a small chest leading a human woman who carried a pile of things wrapped in fabric.

or it? "I won't ask you again, Vamp. What. Are. You. Doing. Here?!" I couldn't believe such loud words were coming out of such a tiny body. My ears were bleeding, literally. I wiped the blood off shakily and looked up. He was in the sky somewhere.

"I won't let them harm us." Aunt Cleo's voice sliced through the air like a warning bell, her words laced with urgency and gravity. "Aqua, you need to grasp the true threat of the coven. They're not just ordinary casters. Each possesses unique abilities, ranging from unnaturally swift regeneration and inhuman strength to the sinister power to manipulate creatures and even people, turning them into spies. Some even boast of an unnerving form of immortality, extending their lives far beyond the natural order. And worst of all, they have the terrifying capability to absorb the powers of other casters."

Abu was one of the great grim reapers, in fact the head if the grim reaper's empire, who collects the souls of the deaths, a male who has long white hair, full white eyes that you couldn’t even tell where he was staring at; he always wore a bright large black cloak, has a long scythe with blue flames around it, and most of all a huge black yet stunning wings, sometimes you found it creepy but his wings were unique compared to what we commonly imagine, it’s maybe dark and scary but some of them found it beautiful, lastly, there were always some black butterflies flying around him, they were the souls who were punished because of their sin that cannot be forgiven, and as punishment, they were

Augustus fell to the ground, he saw a bat flying towards him. Augustus felt that this was the source of his power, if he could not swallow that power, he would be the one to be swallowed. Augustus remained calm, the silver light growing weaker and weaker. The bat flew over, it had a yellow color, it was waiting for this vampire to escape from Neva's heart, in the past it wanted to steal strength from Neva's heart but was imprisoned here and couldn't escape. from. This vampire has swallowed half of Neva's heart, if he swallows this person's mind, he can control Augustus' body.

I will think about going back home tomorrow. I get out of the kitchen and walk around the living room. I think Raul, Orpheus and Athan went with Damien to do the check up. Damien is a very determined leader. If these Vampires were werewolves, he would be an Alpha. Just like father wanted. He wanted me to have an Alpha mate. I got a Vampire Alpha instead and he is everything to me. I just love him the way he is; Vampire or not. I wouldn't like him any other way.

With a tearing sound, Zephyr Khan suddenly felt a strong destructive power coming toward him, but it was quickly offset by his own bladed energy. "It's a blood bat!?" As the long sword was lifted and bladed energy tore the vortex apart, Zephyr Khan also cast his Focus on the attacker. It was a huge blood bat with blood-red scales on its body. The scales were shining like an armor. Compared with the elite blood bats, this blood bat was not only huge, but also had a huge tail on its back. The tail carried a reverse hook, and the blue light on the hook was shining. It was obviously poisonous.

"Explain." "Water balloon," Dante says, crossing the room with the ease of someone who believes he is about to be forgiven. "We could not find actual balloons anywhere in the villa, so we went through your desk drawer, found one, filled it with water, and rigged it above the door frame to drop on Matteo when he came in." I absorb this. Matteo Ferraro. Our Enforcer. The man who resolves situations before I even become aware they exist, who has never once given me a reason to question his capability, who is arguably the most useful person currently on my payroll.
