The dragons were on the edge of the wood line. They disguised themselves as boulders until the vampires were right on them. That was when they stood and started blowing fire directly on them. The Brevians fled for their lives after seeing their comrades drop down in alarming amounts. The vampires chased after them, killing them with shocking speed. By midnight, over five thousand Brevian soldiers lay dead. The vampires fed on their blood until they could drink no longer then they faced the Jaresh empire's central city.

The vampire drained his glass and put it on the table. “Okay, enough talk,” Vragenn stood up and approached the girl. Taking the glass from her trembling hands, he drained it in one gulp and threw the vessel over his shoulder. Ira flinched at the sound of breaking glass. “I’ll offer you this,” the Lord looked down at the girl. Fingers pushed back unruly strands, stroking the girl’s sloping shoulder. The Lord's hand slid down, outlining Ira's silhouette.

Lord Apophis the dragon god and Lord Kanchelsis, the vampire god, were both outraged and both vowed to take revenge. Lord Kanchelsis visited his people and what he saw when he got there made him furious. Two more of his creations had fallen in love one with a dragon and one with a werewolf.” Draco Continued.

“Meanwhile, the Vampire Clan’s Grand Patriarch─a Dragon Slayer─ was contaminated by dragon blood while he was slaying the dragon. This gave rise to the Vampire Clan of today.” As he said that, he looked at Thea. “Thea, Callan said that only by performing an exchange transfusion can you be saved. However, ordinary blood won’t do the trick. The opposite, I think, is true for dragon blood. That’s the main reason why I accepted Sky’s demands. The Vampire Clan is only closely related to one thing─dragons. I agreed to Sky’s conditions because I wanted to learn more about the Vampire Clan’s internal situation and about dragons. If I can slay a dragon, your life will be saved.”
