Eddie takes his plate of food, and walks over to the table with the feeders. “Hey, guys. These are our two resident vampires. I’ll leave you to chat, let me know if you need anything else.” Eddie takes his plate of food back to his office; Ash looks at the two people sat at the table. They are both very muscular men; one is a white, blonde man with eyelashes so pale they’re barely there, and the other is a black man who has a shaved head and a sculpted beard.

Eddie screeched, his big wolf head shaking from side to side before he dragged me to him, quick as lightning, the long, single claw of his paw pressing into my neck painfully. “Edmond. Release the girl.” Hector growled quietly as I tried not to breathe, eyeing the blood streaked hook of the claw as he towered over our frames, so close I could graze the twig spiked gray of his fur, and far enough that the mad man could send me to the Elysians with a flick of his wrist. “Never! The minute I escape far away I’ll be leaving her.” Eddie said and I squeezed my eyes shut as I felt the curve of his blade nick my skin before squeezing my eyes open and locking gazes with the Lycan.

Lane stood arms akimbo as her body was taken into the ambulance with a stretcher. Blue and red lights were flashing across the woods, illuminating the clearing around the cottage. Other cops who had arrived were investigating the crime scene. Lane watched as one of the officers approached him.
