Maria’s body drooped limply onto the bed for a few minutes as the stranger, a vampire, drank the blood from her neck. Standing up, he adjusted his belt, pulled up his pants, and made other necessary adjustments. He wasn’t through with her yet; he went to get a knife from his jeans and approached Maria’s lifeless corpse. He turned her over onto her back and seated one leg on either side of her hips to mount her. He lowered his gaze to meet her blank expression and inserted the knife’s point just below her sternum. He quickly slid the knife into her stomach and slashed downward till he struck her pelvis bone.
