Midnight hair was cropped short on his head, accompanying a scar that ran from temple to chin.
"You're the Fae shifter, the one with a piece of our High Lords power." He said in a deep, brute-ish voice. I noted with a bit of surprise that his charcoal-colored eyes remained firmly planted on my face, and no lower.
"Yes." I nodded stiffly, still hoping these weren't enemies I was talking to.
They had the same dark hair and onyx eyes as the Night Court warriors Tamara had used to attack the Atlas's mother, but they were dressed entirely different. Their armor mirrored the night sky, with dazzling stars that seemed to dance and move across their breast plates and swords.
