he said smiling and hugged me. I hugged him back smiling, happy to be with him. "You have lied Barry about yourself. He misunderstood everything about you." he said still hugging me. "It's ok. I don't care. I am happy that he is happy at last. Now, I am free from my guilt."I said holding him more tightly and relaxed. He smiled. I am Rosy, a hundred-year-old vampire. I was the only daughter of a magistrate. My parents loved me so much. But, then suddenly my father died and my mother married again for my sake. She wanted me to have the love of both my parents.

That's when I realized that in front of Aris was a glass sealed with what was surely blood. “What is this, dear Rose?” the vampire asked as the old woman approached. “Squirrel blood,” Rose said, and I put my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. “What was left of the last blood you brought I gave it to the other vampire. He helped me fix the furnace problem you didn't solve, so I was nice.” Aris looked at her in horror, and as I started to laugh, a vision shook me. I looked at the darkness and flames everywhere, then I looked at us near a cliff and watched as I threw myself into the abyss.

Lila stood guard, her scarred arm limp, flare gun spent, her face raw with Etienne’s ghost, but her stance a soldier’s, ready. The vein moved. Not pulsed. It wrote, threading across my collarbone, scripting new lines in my hand: ROSA VASQUEZ: THE NEW BLOOD. The letters seared, burning my skin, and I gasped, a sound that was half-laugh, half-scream, my hands clawing at my chest as if I could hack it out like a bad line of code. “Rosa!” Elena’s voice was a blade, sharp with love. “Fight it!”

We had two children in the nine years that we had together. Then we went for a ride one evening after the children had gone to sleep. It was a beautiful night, and Rose thoroughly enjoyed it. That was until we were attacked by something I had never known existed. A vampire had attacked us and bled me almost dry. Rose ran for the castle, trying to get help as she could not lift me. By the time they arrived at my side, I had died. Rose laid my body in the tomb under the castle. What she didn't know was I was not dead but the undead. When I arose in two days, Rose was down in the tomb. She was happy that I had come back. I attacked her, thinking she had left me for dead as my mind was fuzzy.

I folded my hands across my chest and frowned at him in both confusion and annoyance. "Stop-just-" Alex huffed in frustration before covering his face with his hands and letting out a sigh in exasperation. I was about to say something else too but stopped when I heard a few girls groan and my eyes snapped towards the crowd. I noticed Joey, Franklin,danny and other vampires digging their fangs into the girls neck, sucking them hungrily and I could feel my eyes widening at the sight. They were doing it in public? Why? It was already getting dark, we were supposed to go home.

The man fell back in shock but the queen wasn't satisfied. She waved her men to execute him. Since vampires were impossible to kill with weapons made of steel, The executioner decapitated him in front of the crowd and the Queen rose from the throne and watched the man counting his last breath. Although her face was covered and hardly anything could be seen except those ice blue eyes, she was grinning in satisfaction to see blood. "Now, begin the ceremony." The woman among the six Nightcrawlers stepped forward and responded after a bow, "my queen, the ceremony preparations are done."

SEBASTIAN'S POV I was wrong, Sarah’s the only irresponsible vampire in history. There's not one single reference of a member of the royal family leaving the kingdom. It's like none of my ancestors even anticipated an incident like this. "Good going Sarah, there are better ways to punish me for not paying attention to you, this is just too much! I don't even know if you're dead or alive. Please come home." A slight knock interrupted my monologue. Rhea? This feels weird and unexpected. I guess she's still our friend after all.

Despite the strangeness of the situation, Melia found herself finding his astonishment rather amusing. "Vampire..." he murmured, his gaze shifting towards Melia. "Perfect!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms up in a rare moment of elation. "It explains everything. It explains why you're still here, alive. Why... Or maybe... How do you become a vampire?" he asked abruptly, his curiosity getting the best of him. Melia arched an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "I'm not going to tell you that," she replied firmly, her voice as cool as a winter breeze.

Rosette flicked her braided wine-red hair to her back then said, “I suppose Romaine didn’t tell you that I will be visiting, eh?” Rozelyn nodded, still processing the fact that this woman—who happens to be Vesta’s cousin and vampire—just gave her champagne minutes ago. Rosette put her elbows by the ledge of the ivory veranda and moved her body towards the western horizon; to where Rozelyn was still seeing the couple earlier now fucking by the curtainless window. Silence shrouded between the two. It was Rosette who broke the deafening quietude. “Would you like to hear a story?”
