I run as fast as I can and feel a pang in my heart as I get further and further away from my mate. "Is my mate feeling it too?" I ask my wolf. "Yes," she says sadly. "Don't worry, Jenny. UNKNOWN POV I am washing my face and having a drink from a lake when I get the strong feeling I'm being watched as I turn I see a vampire coming straight at me, I snear knowing I'm not your average wolf, and I can easily take him. As he gets to me I grab him and throw him into the water, my flight or fight response is surprising me as it usually tells me not to fight but not this time. I could not even describe them and could not believe that I was actually finally coming face to face with them, a moment I had so dreaded. The creatures had blood red eyes which looked soulless, human like faces with menacing grins on their faces but the most horrifying to me was their charcoal black wings. The woman’s arms flailed weakly but her face looked serene, if not enjoying the experience. Then, the woman’s expression slowly changed into pain and she grimaced. She placed her arms around the Ember Ghost’s head weakly before dropping them weakly to her side. Then, the woman’s limp body slid out of view leaving the Ember Ghost standing. He wiped the remaining red stains from his mouth with a swipe of his arm before disappearing within the smoke that blew from across the float.

His breath hitched, and for a long moment, the night held them — two souls who had clawed their way through hell to find heaven in each other’s arms. The last thing I heard before pulling through the clouds was his voice in my head. " You won’t take her away from me again” he said. Wait. Again? I called my advisors to do some research on everything they had on Xavier. Red eyes and smoke were only common around one species. Demons. Demons are the vilest creatures who inhabit peoples' bodies on earth. They exist purely to create conflict. Was it possible Xavier was possessed by the spawn of the dark one? If that is the case, how long have I not been talking to the real Xavier?
