Groban’s eyes narrowed slightly as his eyebrows furrowed, “There was never a virus Laya, it was just a lie to cover up what they really wanted to do, depopulate a species to extinction,” A deep frown washed over me as his words hit me, “How do you know that, you’re just- human,” Smirking I could sense his irritability and I didn’t quite understand as to why that was, so I decided to ask the next obvious question on my mind, “What exactly are vampires, besides blood thirsty monsters?” I asked looking up at him. Somewhat taken back by my question he thought it over as he sighed,

“Let me show you what a real monster looks like.” I feel his presence behind me fall vacant and just as I’m about to turn to find him, he reappears with company. I shudder to see who he has in a chokehold. I want to turn away and flee from them both but he grips my shoulder and forces me to remain here. “This is what a monster looks like, Sorah. You’re only retaliating to save yourself, that doesn’t classify you as a monster.” How is this possible? Weren’t Demons supposed to be more powerful than Vampires? They attack humans out of anger. "No!" Waylan murmured when one vampire attacked her.

Omen were genetically-enhanced creatures generally regarded as monsters. Vampires were basically superhuman, with greater physical abilities, advanced regeneration and senses. They were infamous for their thirst for blood and love of killing. They were pretty strong, and the vampires she was up against were superior to a beginner like her, at least physically, but if she applied her combined knowledge and skills, she could be able to outmatch them.

They stop in front of me and spread out to form a circle. "Can I help you, fellows?" I ask the gentlemen standing in front of me. "Are you one of those monsters?" I look at him confused. "What monsters?" He cannot mean us, could he? "Don't be dumb. Are you one of those bloodsuckers or do you turn with the moon? The answer will determine your fate." "Don't be rude, dude. What makes you think that werewolves and vampires are monsters? You are just scared because you don't understand them."

Vampires can easily enter the mansion. "Fuck!"

The witches’ chanting reached a crescendo and Arden screamed, his body finally giving up the fight and shifting completely. The thing that used to be Arden—opened its eyes they were completely white with no pupils at all. “Kill them,” Jonathan said, stepping back to give the monster room. “Start with the alpha.” Arden roared and the sound was loud enough to make Luca’s ears ring, and then he was charging straight at them. Luca had maybe two seconds to make a decision. He looked down at Lily in his arms, and then at the monster bearing down on them and then at Samuel’s wolves and Jonathan’s vampires closing in from all sides.

I said in a low voice. “Mum, when did you get rid of the monster?” Violet asked again. “It’s been quite a while. It happened on the day of our wedding,” I said. “So the Monsters showed up at the wedding and stopped it?” Violet’s eyebrows went up. “Well, apple, the process is quite long. You’ll get it when you find your partner,” I whispered. “The monster came to Ethereal Hunters because it smelled a pheromone that made it smell sweet and anxious. But don’t worry, if werewolves weren’t so greedy, monsters like that wouldn’t exist anymore.”
