Gabriel kissed her hand passionately, then gently placed his lips on her forehead. "You should rest here, Hazel. I'll sleep outside," Gabriel said, rising from the bed. The distance between them felt like a painful sacrifice, but he respected her boundaries. As he left the room, Gabriel unbuttoned the top of his shirt, struggling to catch his breath. Axel tensed up when Gabriel stared at the window to his room before his eyes met Axel's gold ones. "My. My. My. What's all this Axel?" He mused walking over to him as he stood at a few feet distance. Looking down he nudged the corpse of the vampire whose head was decapitated. Gabriel frowned before tilting his head to look Axel in the eyes.
