Vance Hopper Black Phone Novels & Stories

I could feel the worry in her tone and I felt sorry for not reaching out to her to let her know I was settled in fine. “I’m sorry. I know I should have reached out in some way, but this is urgent.” I rendered my apology first, driving straight to more pressing matters like saving a missing Axton Female. “Alright. Shoot.” “I’m sending you a plate number. Black van. I need to know its current location. It was last seen about fifty-two minutes ago. I want to know if there’s been any stops as well.” “Okay. On it. Stay on the line, Jade!.”

The work that had once consumed him. He could not focus. He stared at the wall. He thought about her hand in his. The way she had let him hold it. The way she had pulled away. His phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen. An unknown number. He almost ignored it. Then he saw the name. Ashworth. He answered. "Mr. Blackwood." The old voice was crisp. Direct. "This is Phillip Ashworth." Vance sat up straighter. "Mr. Ashworth. I did not expect to hear from you."

“I want to confirm something.” The driver nodded. “Yes, sir.” --- At that same moment, in a dark van parked near the highway lounge, two men were waiting. One of them checked his watch. “He should be here soon,” he said. The other man nodded. “Boss said we grab him fast. No mistakes.” They looked at the entrance of the lounge, waiting for a black luxury car to arrive. But the road stayed empty. --- Back in the rented room, Vance’s phone rang. He picked it up.

Mack Black dialed the landline number of the villa and asked the servant to prepare some food for Carl Black. Carl Black was waiting impatiently for Lisa. He had so many questions to ask her. He searched for his phone. When he didn’t see it, he asked Mack Black, "Give me my phone." "Oh yes." Mack Black then took out a brand-new phone from the cabinet and gave it to him. "I bought a new one. Your phone was damaged in the accident.” He took a few seconds to say the next words, "I called Mom. She is coming back today."

My voice was stuck somewhere in the wreckage of my throat. In one quick motion, he stood up tall, blocking the light from the window. He pulled out a sleek, black phone from his pocket, dialed a number and put it on the speaker. "Viper. What's the brief?" Viper. The name itself was unsettling. Who was this? And what is he planning to do with me?

"Vance? What's the... what time is it?" "The script didn't hold," Liam said, his voice dropping into a desperate, aristocratic panic as he held out the phone screen. "Your career just hit the boards. Marcus leaked the penthouse security footage."

Zion frowned. "What have you done? I feel disgusted to even talk about it." Mr. Black rubbed his face before speaking, "You tried to rap a girl. I feel so ashamed. How can you forget with your IQ of 150+ that you have a wife? How can you be so low?" With that the colours on his face faded. That bitch made a complaint against him. She hasn't learnt her lesson yet. "Mom, give me Hannah's phone number." They heard him saying.

“Vance.” He finally spoke. “That is possible.” Before she could respond, her phone vibrated. She looked down. Unknown number. She opened the message. Her face changed. Vance immediately noticed. “What?” She turned the phone toward him. STOP DIGGING. Vance’s jaw tightened. “Give me the phone.” Another message appeared. YOU DON’T KNOW WHO YOU’RE PLAYING WITH. Clara stared at the screen. Then another message arrived. TELL VANCE TO STOP. Vance’s eyes went cold.

I would ruin her so thoroughly that even a man like Blackwood wouldn't want the wreckage. I reached for my personal phone. I bypassed Naomi’s office. She would tell me to be patient. She would tell me to think of the brand. I didn't want to think. I wanted to strike. I scrolled through the list until I found the name: Vance. The phone rang twice. "Adrian? I didn't expect a call until the Blackwood acquisition was finalized." "The acquisition is secondary," I said. My voice was steady now, focused by a singular purpose. "I have something better for you. A headline that will sell more papers than a corporate takeover."

“What’s the matter?” “Oh, I don’t know,” Mitch said sarcastically. “Maybe it’s because I’m no longer on your system. Or that I got ejected when I used my access code, the one that you assured me would be there for the rest of my life. Then I can’t get you by phone. I thought we were closer than this, Hop—” “Hey,” Hopkins said quickly. “Wait a minute. Wait a minute. There happens to have been a hell of a communications failure here yesterday, and my phone was out. Now I know that just ruffles your panties, big guy, but it’s not my fault.”
