It started pretty weirdly but when Vanessa was done with my face, I looked quite like the princess I only imagined myself to be, and the purple dress made up for it. "T-thanks, Vanessa." My heart sank, and I followed his gaze. That red was very conspicuous in the crowd. Anastasia POV: Today is D-day. All the efforts which I have put so far, I am going to see and taste the fruit of them. I got a beautiful dress for tonight. It is a combination of purple and the blue, which is usually seen in comic mermaids. The top has a corset, off shoulder while the sleeves are long and fluffy. Usually, Ryan throws a fit whenever I wear off shoulders but tonight he didn't. He must have realised that it is my day and he shouldn't be messing with me and to be honest, I am happy to see him being so considerate of my likes and dislikes.

“No wolf could do this.” “This is sorcery.” Vanessa’s pulse hammered. This wasn’t about a royal rivalry. Someone wanted to provoke war and she was the weapon. A cold voice drifted across the courtyard. “Quite the spectacle, Hybrid.” Everyone turned. A woman stepped from the shadows, elegant, lethal, beautiful. Silver hair, crimson lips, eyes like a predator. Kael stiffened. “Lysandra,” he hissed. Vanessa’s heart lurched. “Who is she?” Draven didn’t answer. The top of the gown that was connected to the skirt by a thick pink and yellow strip were cup bras formed from golden seaweed. It sounded crazy but it looked beautiful. "I'm fine. We should find the girl." Elliot had a face on that told me the matter wouldn't end there. "She lives with her parents in a burrow..."

Xavier walks into his parent’s room and headed for his mother’s closet. This room was the second largest in the house, the balcony doors were open letting in light and breeze, the curtains swayed in the wind. As he went through the closet for something that would fit Vanessa he saw the dress. It was a white cottage dress with long puffed sleeves. He touched it like he was scared of it, he couldn’t help but imagine what Vanessa would look like in the dress. He smiled at the thought, white was too delicate a colour for her.

"And for God's sake, fix your hair. You look like you climbed out of a gutter." Viola flinched and tucked a strand of dark hair behind her ear. "Sorry, Mother." Vanessa brushed past her, smelling of expensive perfume, effortless in a tight midnight-blue dress. Then she stopped. Turned. Something red dangled from her fingers. A cheap, neon-red mini dress. "Mother," Vanessa said smoothly. "Look what I found in Viola's wardrobe." Viola's chest seized. She stared at the red fabric, and for a second she couldn't pull air in. She had never seen that dress in her life.
