Vanishing Dragon Novels & Stories

I looked at Big Boss still whimpering on the floor. “Come on.” I said and dragged him to the end of the corridor where the fire exit is. Upon reaching to the ground, I heard gunshots inside and I looked back. I can see Black Dragon running in the middle of the gunshots! It’s as if he didn’t fear of dying! He held guns on each hand now, aiming and firing left and right as he passed. And in seconds, silence followed. All Big Boss’ men were dead soaking on their own blood. Then I saw Black Dragon picking something and put it on his pocket. He then looked straight at me and nodded. I headed outside still dragging Big Boss. The two guards are not there anymore. Then Black Dragon spoke beside me.

Liam answered, and the silence was overwhelming. To say a dragon was fading was the same as to say he was dying. That happened to the old dragons that remained alive after so many years without joining the eternal soul. When they chose to stay and continue to impart their memories and teachings to the young ones, they also seal their powers, but if a part of that seal came loose, then they will start to fade. Some say that when an ancient dragon starts to vanish, they will go look for an isolated place to enter the final stage and vanish. However, during that process, they will lose the sense of themselves and rationality. Their instincts will take over them and attack whoever crosses their

Fate. Vaelrion’s eyes burned molten gold. “You speak of weakness while our race crawled toward extinction.” No one dared interrupt him. “For six hundred years,” he continued coldly, “dragon females vanished. Hatchings slowed. Bloodlines weakened.” Pain tightened unexpectedly beneath his ribs. Because he remembered. Gods, he remembered. The silence. The empty halls. The grief. The fear that dragons would die quietly while the world forgot they ever existed. Then Lyra happened.

The giant dragon opened its mouth and unleashed wave after wave of green toxic mist. Each of the vital energy dragons was instantly stained. Although they dealt considerable damage to the dragon in return, the deeper the green seeped into them, the faster they deteriorated. The water, fire, and lightning dragons were gradually corroded and eventually vanished into the air. Only the white vital spirit dragon remained—and it grew stronger with every exchange. The dragon was stunned. It discovered that every poisonous wave it spewed was being neutralized by that white dragon. Although each instance of purification dimmed the dragon slightly, it was clear—even if it exhausted every last drop of

Made of white flame and black shadow. Enormous. Ancient. A crown of broken horns curved from his skull. His eyes opened. One violet. One gold. Ignisvath went still. Dimitrius whispered, “Vaelgorath.” The dragon lowered his head. Not to Ignisvath. Not to Emmy. Between them. Then his form shifted. Flame contracted. Bones changed. Wings disappeared. A man stood where the dragon had been. Tall. Dark hair streaked white.

The elders seem to agree with Sean. "Find out who that Dragon who mated with one of 'them'. If we could kill that offspring, whoever it is, then the sand will stop moving and the spell will click back into place, locking 'it' inside" the elders commanded Sean. Sean did not like this idea. A mate to a dragon is their other half. A part of their soul. Killing once mate would destroy the dragon. "Killing a dragon's mate would destroy the dragon. The dragon would never recover from such a huge blow" Sean revealed what he thought about their idea.

The ice in my very veins melted as he grew even taller than he normally was and more muscular, ripping Zephyros's tunic in the process. I staggered backwards and tripped on a branch. I fell backwards on my rump and even the sting was not enough to take my eyes off him. He exhaled and the nearest tree turned to ash immediately. i scrambled backwards on impulse and the branch i had tripped on got caught in his web. He opened his eyes and twin pools of fire peered down at me. I didn't need Luna to tell me i was not looking at Zephyros anymore...no. Not entirely. What stared back at me was the Fire Dragon.

Raya’s eyes go wide before looking at my mother in panic. “Okay so Lily.. I understand now that you might have found out who we are.. what we are,” my mother begins to say, pausing as she tries to find the right words to say to me. “And I just want to tell you I did the best I could, leaving your father to be the best mom I could, and to raise you the right way. “Dragon! Destroy them! Everyone who still stands! Burn them with cold!” The dragon looked at its master. Then it lowered its head and breathed on the Revenant. The woman’s scream lasted three seconds. Then she was ice. A frozen statue with hands raised and mouth open and eyes wide with betrayal. The dragon spread its wings and launched into the sky. It circled once, a farewell or a warning, then flew north. Disappeared into the clouds. Silence. The survivors stood among the frozen dead, too shocked to move. Too exhausted to process what had just happened.

He was whole again and complete, but his dark skin and dark eyes still remained the same. Once the floating palace that had been hovering in the sky above the castle was completely destroyed by Obsidian's dark fire, reduced to nothing but ashes and falling rubble, the massive dragon wolf let out one final triumphant roar. And then, just as suddenly as she had appeared, Obsidian vanished.
