Vanishing Half Book Novels & Stories

Had she ever had a crush on anyone before? She wanted to fly away to her friends and bury her head in their laps. Everything had been fine moments before. Something had shifted when they’d locked eyes and now, Daffodil wished she didn’t have to see him. The Half-Fairy glanced down to look at the stack of books that had dwindled down to the two in her hand. She sighed. They’d been borrowed but she had misread where to place each. She would have to walk all the way back to find out if they were to be placed back in the shelves or kept aside on reservation for a student or staff.

No match to the aura that clung to her. I turned another page, frustration creeping into my chest. The book was meticulous—births, deaths, even lost heirs, and yet she was a ghost in all of it. A shadow that didn’t belong anywhere. My gaze drifted toward a second, smaller volume hidden behind the larger ones. The Book of the Fallen Packs. The title alone carried a chill. Those who were wiped from the records after the wars, their families scattered or erased. I set it down carefully and flipped it open. The entries were old, ink faded to brown, but one name caught my attention, House of Velmir.

My lips trembled. “You loved every single version of me.” His eyes glistened painfully. “And now you want to stay here?” I whispered, heartbroken. “You want to leave me after teaching me what love feels like?” “Aurora…” his voice cracked weakly. “You once told me mates are two halves of the same soul,” I continued softly. “So if you stay here… what happens to the half of me that belongs to you?” A tear slid down his face. Seeing him cry nearly destroyed me.

After that, I would stroll through Roselle Street, but I always felt lonely, like I was missing something. That was until I entered a bookshop and saw Jonathan reading in the corner. He was surrounded by tall piles of books. He set every book he finished reading on one side before moving on to another. He seemed content in his world of ink and paper and looked like nothing could intrude on his peace. I grew curious and asked the old man who ran the bookshop about him. The old man clicked his tongue and replied, "That young man has come here three days in a row. He sits here from morning until nightfall, and he even skips meals sometimes."

"What do you mean she's awakened? I thought Ivy was the one with the book. She's just a lowly Omega who can't even shift. I doubt she's the one you're looking for." Aaliyah brought down her hands and the floating objects went down with her. They came crashing down on the floor, spilling it's content. "I finally understand what's going on. The half blood didn't die. She survived without her energy and the book has been with her all along. I couldn't find her because of the spell." "A half blood? Is that even real?" Marco asked, obviously stunned. He had heard about the existence of a half blood but it ended as just a rumor since nobody had ever seen her.

Nala licks her dry lips and breathes deeply as she knows the scent is fading slowly. Nala pulls out her conversation when she finds out Raymond doesn't like it. "I was wondering, did you come indeed to look after me?" Raymond shifts his body to face Nala. Stare right into Nala's bead without blinking. "That's right, Nala. You have me. Although this is a consequence of Ray having half-human blood. But Ray's happy because it's Nala," he said. Ray groped his chest, then continued. "Here is a sign of ownership that already existed when Ray was born. Since Ray is half-human, Ray's owner can have Ray and do whatever he wants but Ray can't have one."

We both looked down at it like it had spoken out loud. Root: miss you already. Tell me your lecture was boring enough that you thought about me the whole time I read it twice. My heart fluttering at each word and my cheeks blushing. "Don't," Jennifer said, watching my thumb hover over the screen. "I'm not doing anything." "You're doing the thing where you say you're not doing anything right before you do the thing." I locked the phone and set it face-down, if only to prove her wrong, and lasted exactly eleven minutes before I picked my jacket up off the floor.

"Don't ever enter my study again. You're not allowed to touch anything in my room again!" Back then, Liam had spoken to me with a dark expression on his face. Yet, when he turned to hold up the crystal ball, his eyes had been filled with infinite tenderness. He'd shoved me to the floor. When I looked up at him, I unintentionally caught sight of the inscription carved into the base of the crystal ball—"From: Vivi". I thought back to the rather platonic love that Liam and I had shared over the past six years. Liam would say he liked me very much every time, but he would only ever go as far as staring at my lips and holding my hand.

I hoped to leave our story with the last bit of grace. However, he did not even give me that chance, so I did not want that dignity anymore. Besides, what dignity was there in a relationship already broken beyond repair, soaked in betrayal and lies? It was just my own self-deception. Zach stared at me, desperately searching my eyes for even the slightest emotion. Yet there was nothing left there he recognized. There was no love, no anger, no sadness, not even hatred. His hand dropped abruptly. The ring fell to the ground, and he did not even notice.

Lucy said "What is she doing" I asked "She cut herself and...Wait guys, she's leaving." Lucy said "Leave? Why?" I asked "I don't know" Lucy said Everyone was ready to attack when Lucy shouted "Father" Father turned back to see who called "Father, she is gone." Lucy said "What do you mean she's gone?" Father asked "No one's there now. She's gone. I don't know. I can't feel her anymore. I don't think she's still there" Lucy said as Willow opened the gate and found no one there.
