The scientist’s suit was visibly degrading. **“Open them, and I’ll make it quick. One bullet.”** Terror warred with defiance. The scientist hesitated, then his shoulders slumped. He shuffled to the nearest case, fingers fumbling with the complex latches under his damaged gloves. It popped open. Inside, nestled in shock-absorbent foam, were rows of thick glass vials filled with a viscous, iridescent purple fluid. The labels read: **PHOENIX PRIME - STRAIN AEROSOL.**
