"The automated turrets we used at the border gate are on a separate circuit, but the internal vault security is tied directly to that console. If your palm doesn't hit that glass in the next sixty seconds, the system registers a hostile takeover. It will drop the thermite payload, Elara. We will burn in a river of liquid gold." I looked through the haze toward the entrance of the cathedral. Through the drifting curtains of white concrete dust, three silhouettes were advancing in a tight, disciplined wedge, their rifle barrels sweeping the rows of iron storage racks. Behind them, a taller, broader figure walked without a weapon, a long wool coat draped over his shoulders, his face illuminated

The air thickened, the moment weighing heavily with foreboding, as Aiden reached Watson's room, his hand clutching the key tightly, his heart heavy. As his hand closed around the key, he turned it in the lock with a clicking sound into place, the echo down the hall sounding like the death knell of a bell, a grim reminder that the fate that was meant for Watson was sealed. "I don't need to make a mistake," Aiden said to himself, barely over a whisper, while double-checking the lock, securing it, and thus Watson, inside. But Watson was silent as the voice that now hollered down the hallway echoed through it, a loud angry shout that seemed to shake the very foundations of the house.

“Define quiet.” Ayesha exhaled. “No bloodshed unless necessary.” Leena’s smile faded slightly. “Fine.” Inside the Vault With Priya overriding the internal systems, they entered through a maintenance access tunnel. Security cameras looped. Alarms silenced. Step one: Complete. They reached the main server room, where the digital locks for Davos’ remaining fortune were stored. Priya plugged in a portable hacking device. “Give me sixty seconds.” Ayesha turned to Leena. “How’s the hallway?”

The campus was still asleep, everywhere clouded with fogs. "Entrance to the tunnels should be here," she said, pointing to a grate near the boiler room. We pried it open with a crowbar she had brought. Our flashlights cut through the darkness as we followed the map. "This way," I whispered, leading us down a narrow corridor. After what felt like forever, we reached a heavy door marked "Vault Access: Restricted." Becca tried the lock. "Same code as before? Founder's birthday?" I punched in 0921. Click.

“I need you to wrap your arms around me and act like your crying hysterically while I call Ewan. I don’t know if we’re being monitored, and if anyone is listening, I want them to think that I’m comforting you.” Ava nods again and wraps her arms around me with a sob. While she does, I dial Ewan’s number. The phone dings, reminding me that there’s very little power left in the phone. “Taryn?” His comforting voice reaches my ears, soothing my fears instantly. “Ewan, the phones dying, but I’m fine, and Ava is with me. She’s making noise in case they’re listening in on us. We’re in a large house near the valley. I recognized the hills when they took me out of the trunk.”

Well, shit. My first thought was to courier them back, so that I didn't have to come face to face with that guy. But the couriers didn't want to send something so expensive, in such a short distance. So I dug out his information from the public records and now, I was standing in front of the magnificent villa, pondering on the fact that I would have to face him again, contemplating, whether I should go inside or not. The word 'VICTORS' were curved on the iron gate beautifully in a neat cursive. A tall, stony statue of mammon stood proudly at one side and a giant lion on the other.

I raised my chin and made sure my gaze was locked with his as I said… “I, Adaira Varese of the Brookstone pack, reject you, Gav…” I gasped as his hands wrapped around my throat, he moved me backwards and he pressed me against the bars of the closest cell. “One more word out of you and I will wipe out your entire pack, You are mine now, you have always been mine, and you will remain mine.” With that, he leaned down and sank his teeth into my neck.

The screen flashed red once, then blinked green. He descended six levels. The air changed. Sterile. Pressurized. The vault corridor looked like something out of a sci-fi prison. White lights. Steel doors. Retinal scanners. Silent as death. He found Vault 713—the one marked with the sigil Leandro had drawn in blood. He placed the chip Amara had smuggled in her bracelet into the reader. Click. The door hissed open. Inside? A single black case. He picked it up. And that’s when he heard the footsteps.

"And as we speak, my husband is liquidating his private server array in Varna. You have sixty seconds to open the master ledger vault, or I will have federal authorities dismantle this building stone by stone." Three hundred miles to the east, on the jagged cliffs of Varna overlooking the churning Black Sea, the silence of the morning was shattered by the roaring engines of two black tactical interceptor craft. Julian Vance stood on the bow of the lead interceptor as it sliced through the heavy grey swells, its hull battering against the waves at forty-five knots. He was fully equipped in heavy black tactical armor, a tactical rifle slung across his chest, his storm-gray eyes locked onto

I did have invested in his dream. I checked the vault again. Searching for more clues will help me get closer to waking up from this nightmare. I found the documents related to this Vault. I checked it and found the updated password it. 84623. I wondered for a while that why would I have kept this number as a password. Then my eyes drifted to my handwriting near it. 8-4-6-2-3.
