The forest fell silent again, but the danger didn’t feel gone. Evelyn’s knees buckled, and Kael caught her, holding her steady. Her gaze darted around the shadows, searching, and there—behind a thick cluster of oaks—two crimson eyes glimmered one final time before disappearing completely into the darkness. “Did… did it leave?” Jonah breathed, voice shaky.

I open my eyes and take the card out of the blinding glow, and as my brain registers the card it looks blank, but I do as tradition states, spin around and hold it in the air for all to see. The gasps and the yelling starts, and I don’t understand why, so I bring the card down to my eye level and watch it. The card is black with what looks like six white silhouettes on it. There are colors beginning to swirl within each of the white silhouettes. Glancing up I see six figures walking toward me, but I can’t make out who they are. “Mistress to the Veil! The whore and her men must be sacrificed! You know the law! Kill the betrayers!”

Jamie rolls his eyes. “Let’s go, then? I have the car ready,” Jamie says jovially. “Yes…oh no wait, there’s one more thing left,” Vi interjects, her eyes widening. “Now what?” Jamie almost whines. Vi dashes back to her room as fast as her five-inch stilettos would allow. Soon she is returning with another package in her hand. Furrow my eyebrows. “What is that?” I ask as she rips open the package. “A veil. I forgot to put it on.” My eyes widen at the beautiful veil in her hand.

She liked his touch ,his warmth , but scared of his intensity as well. " Hoor - e - Arhaan ! Don’t ask questions which can make me lose control . I don't want to let you out of this room , your all this beauty is only for my eyes . " Arhaan said the last part frowning and moved back . He took the veil from the cupboard and moved towards her . The veil was made of 2 3 layers of dull golden nets , it was a beauty in itself . Arhaan fixed it on her head , and she was taking his breath away . She was looking like a real angel who got down on earth with all those layers of net .

Veil couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to his continued business relations with them than met the eye. After a few more exchanges of words, Veil yawned from exhaustion, unable to stop herself. Mumbling a half-assed apology, she reached for the glass on the table at the same time Anders stretched out his hand. Veil withdrew her hands at once, electricity jolting through her.

Zack, Violet, Ken, and Sir Jason were now heading back to the headquarters after their successful mission. It was then that Violet finally opened up about her curse. It is silent now. “On your feet,” I growl. “Do you see this veil? I’m covering your eyes with it because you have no right to see me naked.”

He only brought it up as a bluff, a threat. Helen stepped into the room only to see Nathaniel's pallor. "You look terrible. Is something wrong?" The rims of Nathaniel's eyes were tinged with redness, and he looked at Helen. She shared my resemblance, but that was where the similarities came to an end. The loving relationship he had, he had it with me. Our relationship was irreplaceable, or it was supposed to be. His hands tightened around the divorce papers. 'Why'd I mistake her for Ginny? That one-night-stand was an accident, but everything after that was…'

“Planning on running back to your little mate?” I use a dark, taunting smirk to cover the pain squeezing my chest. She doesn't respond. Not that I need her words. My hands move further up, intent on touching and feeling her skin. “Did you think I'll allow that?” She breathes hard, turning her gaze away. “Look at me, Veil. Don't ever keep your eyes away from me.” The cameras are watching, but I have my back to it; they shouldn't know what I'm doing.
