Valentina’s POV The bar pulsed with energy, the bass thrumming beneath my skin as I swayed to the music with my friends. The world blurred at the edges, softened by the drinks I'd downed too quickly. Colored lights swept across the dance floor, painting everyone in neon hues that made the night feel unreal, dreamlike. We were drunk. Laughing, clinging to each other as we stumbled through half-finished conversations. The vodka shots had melted my usual calculated reserve, leaving my emotions dangerously close to the surface. And at some point, my drunken thoughts drifted where they shouldn't have—toward Dante.

But I need to stop the voice in my head screaming at me that I'm not good enough. Do it, get drunk and kill yourself! Stop! Just stop it! I crack the top off the bottle and take a large drink of the burning alcohol. You're weak! "I know I am! I already know that! Just leave me alone!" I scream. I drink a lot of the alcohol from the bottle, my mind starting to feel hazy. I tip my head back and down the rest of the vodka quickly. My vision blurs and I miss the counter when I try to put the bottle down. It slips from my hand and shatters on the floor loudly.

The music blasted through the living room and everyone enjoyed the music, including me, of course. Every once in a while, I would check up on the boys, making sure that they were having enough drinks. I want them all to get wasted tonight, including Alex, which was the only way for me to sneak inside his office room. "Do vampires even get drunk?" I slur out. I don't even know when I got this drunk. “Awnnnn, is my baby drunk?" Vivian coos. “Why don't we go back home and I'll treat you very nicely." She winks suggestively. Sober me would have been repulsed by her suggestion but drunk me loves the idea, and soon, I am kissing her like my life depends on it.

As I continued drinking the liquor that Drake gave me, I didn’t notice anything like they drugged me or what. The taste was kind of bitter and sweet at the same time. And because I have no friends here, I was alone and the triplets were busy with their other visitors, so I drank and drank to the point that I lost control of myself. I didn’t know how much I drank.
